One and done

We booked this hotel as it was part of the magic chain. Having stayed at Magic Natura we thought we would get a similar experience for drinks and food.
Checkin was easy as our room was ready which was great. The only annoying thing was Spanish people coming up and interrupting and this being allowed. It just doesn’t create a professional approach.
The room and decor was an interesting choice. The room was clean the decor makes them not look as nice. The lack of a balcony wasn’t so great. They left a note saying they are bigger rooms because of this but I think the balconies would have been better. The beds were a bit hard. Room had everything needed and as we were ultra all inclusive the fridge was refilled everyday. Whilst there is a kettle bring your own coffee and tea as it isn’t good and there is also no milk pods.
Food - whilst there was a lot of food most days were repetitive and it definitely catered more to the Europeans. Meat wasn’t always cooked properly which is something I don’t like. We could always get something to eat but it wasn’t the best.
Drinks - whilst there was a large range of drinks it was disappointing to see that the cocktails were all made with syrup. At magic natura these were proper made cocktails and we upgraded thinking this would be the same. The free pour beer, wine and cider was a nice touch in the snack bar and the restaurants at meal times. You could also get soft drinks and juices everywhere.
Pool - the pool was okay probably a bit small in size for the resort. The beds aren’t open until 10am at the bottom and 11am at the slides. People did reserve beds and never use them which was a shame. Sun was around 11-4pm unless you moved beds because of the huge building in front of the hotel.
Death bank was interesting to get up and down but we managed and I’m unfit.
Overall the stay was okay however I wouldn’t return as it wasn’t what I expected.

Towers block the sun but beach is close

Bit of a late review but nothing would have changed….
Check in was a shamble and such a long queue, they don’t explain the cup token process either - so make sure you get a cup otherwise you are stuffed at the snack bar for drinks!!
Staff were overal nice and polite.
Rooms were cleaned but not swept regularly so just be mindful if you come back from the beach… the sand will stay with you.
Entertainment during the day … I didn’t see any.
Entertainment in the evening is a kids disco followed by a show, this was really good!! From parrots, to signers I couldn’t fault it.
Food is what you would expect, it does recycle round and they do reuse left overs to make it look like something new but I think most places do that. Lots of fruit and veg which is always good
Drinks were also good - especially wine on tap that you can help yourself to.
So it’s an aqua park hotel right …. Which has limited hours for the slides and jacuzzi?!? They literally shut the area so kids can’t use it. Makes no sense at all.
But the biggest issue as to why I wouldn’t return … the huge tower blocks that aren’t in the picture mean you have very very limited sun at the hotel which resulted in the water being bloody freezing!!
The beach is at the bottom of the hill, it’s a really steep path and I did it with a pram but just considered it a workout each time. The beach is lovely and lots of crabs to be found by the rocks! The beach shops are also really well priced,
Pictures show food, beach, crabs, entertainment and the ugly tower blocks that cover the hotels sun till around 3pm!

Dear CameliaLee,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed our team, evening entertainment and our location close to the beach. We also appreciate your comments regarding the reusable plastic glasses, which forms part of our sustainability programme, and the opening hours of the water slides, which are designed to ensure both guest safety and the proper operation of the attractions. Your observations are appreciated and will help us continue improving.

First visit to Rock Gardens

Magic Rock Gardens stayed here for a week there was 5 of us in total, we waited a hour and half at the airport as the coach had broken down we got on another coach and that also broke down we got in to resort at 4 am we wasnt even offered a bottle of water or anything no apologies and the genteman on reception did not give us any paper work with what's on breakfast times or nothing, my mum was on 12th floor she is 70 and noone even offered to help with bags or how to get ton12th floor in the end it took myself to go to reception for 2nd time before they helped.
Our room was terrible, tiny and too small for 3 people not enough wardrobes or space my son sleeping in the bed next to me and my partner my son is 15 no privacy whatsoever The housekeeping cleans your room but whatever is on your bed they dont remove it they make the bed with it in, weve found hairbrushes, our pj's and the snorkel we thought we lost all in the bed and the bed made.
Pool area is tiny god help anyone going in the summer too small for lilos or rubber rings. The lifeguards were brilliant with the kids but the slides are not on for long and we exeprainced 2 slides as the others were not on due to there not being enough staff. The staff were brilliant if am being honest nothing was ever too much and this review is no reflection on them and there hard work.
Evening Food is shocking bur brekfast had a wide variety of everyrhing. Snack bar is rubbish same food burgers and kebab meat, we ate out, alcohol is the proper stuff and bar staff are lovely. purchase cups for 1 euro to use for the duration of your holiday.
The towels are 15 euros each to hire and you get that back can change them as often as you like.
Entertainment was good and the ents staff were brilliant with the kids. There is kids clubs but I am not sure how all that works there is an arcade area and a computer and VR area, you have to pay for those things. There was tournaments and golf for the kids to do around the pool which was good.
The hotel in summer would be a nightmare as its not very big although there is different lifts for different areas which h is good.
Outside the hotels there brilliant places to visit for food and drinks and shops to buy drinks for your room which we did as there wasnt even bottle of water in the room. And we bought snacks and crisps from there too.
Beach is stunning better to go there sunbeds and parasols are 6 euros each.
Cardiac hill is not as bad as it seems but if u have prams or struggle up hill you may find it difficult my mum 70 and managed it 2 to 3 times a day fine.
I left my bag in the entertainment area went back and it was gone staff was seen asking if it was anyone's bag and suddenly the bag disappeared its not in reception and noone has seen it apparenrly I need police to look at the cameras. It had my sons spending money in it over 100 pound and sunglasses.
Hotel told me they would email over to look at the cameras and when iwent back noone was allowed to look unless the police was there.
This annoyed me the most as staff was seen asking who the bag belonged too its a famiky resort and my bag has never been returned which is disgusting alls they have to do is speak to staff on shift from the bar on that evening.
Again no reflection on the staff but we are tourists and it has ruined our holiday as makes me have no trust and not feel safe especially when your on holiday trying to have a good time and things like that happen.

Dear Thomasfamily24,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay.
We are pleased to read that you found our team friendly and hardworking, and that you enjoyed the entertainment programme, as well as the efforts of our lifeguards and bar staff. Your kind words will be shared with the team.
We regret that some aspects of your arrival did not meet your expectations, especially after a delayed journey. Please note that on check-in all guests are provided with information regarding facilities, meal times and hotel services. Drinking water is available 24 hours a day, with osmosis water stations located in bars including the bar in the reception area, restaurants and on each floor.
Regarding the room, allocation is based on the category booked. When booking one room, all guests are accommodated together; larger options such as Master Standard or Master Superior rooms, which offer more space and additional features, are available and must be selected at the time of booking.
With regard to housekeeping, we appreciate your feedback and will review this with the team. We do kindly ask that personal belongings are kept clear of beds and surfaces to allow for proper cleaning, beds are usually left unmade if guests personal belonging are on them when the housekeeping staff enter to clean the room.
Concerning the pool and waterslides, operating times are not related to staffing levels but vary depending on season, occupancy and weather conditions.
Food is a very subjective matter, particularly in a hotel with an international clientele. Our buffet aims to cater to a wide variety of tastes, including both local and more familiar international options.
While we are concerned to read about your missing bag, we must point out that the hotel cannot be held responsible for personal belongings left unattended in public areas. In line with data protection regulations, CCTV footage can only be accessed by the relevant authorities, and we fully cooperate with the police in such cases.
Your feedback is very important to us, and we will take your comments into consideration as we continue working to improve the guest experience.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.

Not sure if I’d return due to the pool

Hotel
Very very clean and decor Is very different and unique in a good way they have 2 vending machines one has drinks and snacks and one has suncreams / aftersun expect a lot of steps in this hotel but there is about 10 lifts scattered around I don’t care what anyone says cardiac hill is a killa but it’s over fast and there is a lift upto the lobby and an slope at each side of the hotel
Staff
The staff on reception were lovely and very helpful the cleaners were always smiling saying hello asking if we wanted our rooms cleaned and we always got fresh bedding and towels we found some of the bar staff and especially the young female lifeguard to be miserable we called her miss whistleblower because that’s all she’s did the minute kids started having fun and they were perfectly safe and in the 11 days we were there her whistle is the only one I heard and lastly the best member of staff was the lady who welcomed people into the restaurant she had blonde curly hair clipped up she was honest a ray of sunshine.
Food
The food it’s self is absolutely brilliant the meat quality is perfection there beef and lamb was just not to mention their donner kebab it tastes just like the one you get from the chippy the deserts are done to perfection the only thing I would change is there’s to much pork but apart from that there’s something for everyone
Drinks
The drinks we’re absolutely amazing branded spritis non of these paint stripper watered down vodka’s you Normaly get and they are not shy with their measurements either there was one occasion I had to pour the drink away it was that strong lol and again it’s not nasty cheap coke it’s branded Pepsi max and full fat Pepsi their orange soda and lemon soda is a Spanish brand but it’s really nice it tastes just like Fanta the cocktails were really nice apart from one which was absolutely rancid loco coco the best one was definitely piña colada the beer is Heineken and the cider is strongbow so it’s just like being in a British pub with triple measures you have to pay €1 at reception and you get a token and you swap it for a plastic cup to use at the pool bars
Pool
This one is the only thing that really made the holiday unenjoyable it was absolutely FREEZING and it’s a shame because so many reviews say how cold the water is yet they aren’t doing anything about it as much as I liked the hotel them water slides are not safe at all especially the white ones I went down and come off and smacked my head at the bottom I had a lifeguard come running straight over to me to see if I was ok like i said earlier in my review the young female lifeguard was absolutely miserable All she did was blow her whistle at everyone there was never any problems getting a sunbed but if you wanted a poolside one you do need to be at the doors for 10am
Entertainment
The entertainment was your standard family hotel entertainment your kids disco then the main show the best entertainment we found was the circus and Michael Jackson they had live reptiles there which you can get pictures (which they take they won’t let you take your own so you have to buy them) with however I don’t believe in this as these animals shouldn’t be used for entertainment another thing I like was the entertainment team weren’t in your face asking you to do water aerobics and other activities like you normally get out at family hotels they just shout it out and you go up
Room
The room was lovely very spacious for two people we had a walk in shower, heated towel rail, very powerful hair dryer and towel rack however I will say the water temperature was very temperamental we upgraded so we had a balcony so we stayed in room 921 the balcony was massive we even had a canopy and sunbeds on the balcony the only downside to this was that we were right above the adult only bar and people kept throwing cigarettes over and one landed on my mums leg the aircon was rubbish it just leaked the bed was like sleeping on a brick we got the safe you pay €20 deposit and €3 per day then you get the €20 back on check out we didn’t have to pay any sort of deposit on the room
Location
The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect it’s literally down the road from the beach, pharmacy, main strip, market and supermarkets
