Nice location. Close to all major attractions. Room is clean and quiet. There is no window for the room we lived, but the ventilation of the room seems to be fine. Did not feel stale air. The hot water of the bathroom seems to come from a limited water tank. So have to be very careful not to use up all the hot water for the 1st person. Otherwise the rest people has to wait long time to have hot water again.

Hostal Natura Bacelona - 2 nights May 27-29, 2026

Reserved two nights from May 27 to May 29, 2026. Room #1.
The Air conditioner was not working, the first night the temperature was 22.9 C, and se second 23.4 C .
The lady on the front desk was very kind, she tried however the AC work few hours during the day and stops again on the second night.
I called the service and a young man came to check the A/C, however it was not fixed. I requested to be moved to another room, they did not have any other available.
I also requested a discount, the owner was not even had the courtesy to call me.
Very disaponted with Hostal Natura Barcelona.

The room we were put in should not be rented out to people while it is in its current condition: which is a bathroom that smells like raw sewage. Also, the walls are pretty thin so you can hear pretty much every guest in the hostal. Otherwise, the bedroom is spacious, with lots of nice sunlight, and an acceptably comfortable bed.
The smell though… was strong enough to leak out into the bedroom after opening the door a few times to use the sink. We wouldn’t shower or use the bathroom because of the odor. But because they don’t staff the hostal in the evening - we were stuck with the room until morning.
Luckily, their sister property had an available room and the reception desk staff was professional and helpful in getting us a different room there. This is an issue with the owner and how they maintain the property, and the ethics of renting a room with such severe plumbing/hygiene problems. The staff was great.

Where to start..

I arrived at the hostel's door at 4:00. After calling dozens of times (maybe about 4 or 5 voicemails) to the number in the booking.com app and to the number that is at the door, after crossing me with a resident of the building who let me into the hall of the building (always sheltered me from the rain and cold) said that it is not the first time that guests stay on the street and after almost 3 hours, I managed to ask for help from a guest who was coming and she called the hostess, who curiously already answered the call and through the cell phone of the lady, not mine, the hostess gave me the code to enter (I did not receive an email, plus a failure). Bad service. They deserve to be insulted from top to bottom for lack of professionalism but I will try to keep a good tone. I'd be sleeping on the street if it weren't for the availability of the lady who helped me. The hostess didn't even apologize. Must be a good person. Trap for tourists, be careful.

This hostel is a wee bit unique in its setting - it’s half a floor of what one might consider an apartment block.
Having said that it was clean and well located. Instructions on how to get in were clear and worked fine. Reception hours are restricted to the mornings so only saw staff once, briefly, during our two night stay.
