Beautiful hotel, great terrace with fantastic views, breakfast mostly available, rooms clean but rather simply furnished.

Once (unfortunately for duty, twice) and never again!

Certainly, everything could be reduced to: “it’s fine, but it’s only a two-star…”; however, several objectively encountered elements strongly stimulated me to write… Stars characterize some standardized requirements of accommodation facilities; however, there are aspects that go beyond this and that, in any case, will never justify appealing to this data.
My priority was, and I confirm it, to photograph the solar eclipse, leaving everything else in the background. But, as mentioned, objectively there are numerous points to highlight.
Everything started more than a year ago, when reservations opened (note that I had already been on-site two years ago to carry out the necessary technical inspections for the eclipse). I intended to book for three nights, at which point a minimum four-night reservation was imposed on me, thereby forcing me to arrive one day earlier than planned. Asking other guests during my stay, I realized that this constraint had been applied exclusively to me. Upon arrival, late in the evening after a long and tortuous journey, the priority of the person in charge of the reception was to collect the entire sum of the stay before indicating the room! During my previous stay, the price of the room had been about a third, while now, for four nights, the total paid was €1408.80(!), of which, among other things, I only have a record of the credit card transaction from my web banking. No receipt document was issued to me. €350 per day for a room whose “comfort” was “extended exclusively to a ceiling fan.” Once I entered the room, the smell of humidity and sewage took hours before giving way to breathable air. Opening the closet, the smell of stale sweat pervaded the room, and here too the immediate effect was to leave my personal belongings in the suitcase. The structure of the room, like the whole hotel (called a “hostal”), would be equivalent to a standard from, probably, the 60s: finishes now dilapidated, obsolete sanitary fixtures with an now anachronistic functionality... The towels were not suitable for an olfactory approach; evidently they were NOT washed with any detergent product, thereby leaving the “essence” of previous uses intact. With the well-known old “tricks” (paper confetti left on the floor in various spots), there was proof that the only daily service act was making the bed! Obviously, the room was NOT equipped with a fridge, which, if nothing else for the preservation of drinking water in an environment with temperatures well above 30 degrees, day and night, is impossible not to identify as a serious deficiency. The food items at the breakfast buffet were not replenished sufficiently; it often happened that a food item would run out and not reappear during the entire opening time (two hours). Once we grabbed the plates to serve ourselves, we noticed their slight "greasiness" which, upon checking against the light, confirmed they had not been washed sufficiently (most likely just water and a cloth to dry them). Another "nebulous" aspect was a phantom charge of 15€ per day to leave the car in the parking area reserved for the hotel. Knowing the situation of the town and the large influx (which then occurred) of people on the day of the eclipse, I was strongly worried about the extreme scarcity of parking spaces. In the end, it was discovered that the "daily fee" referred to additional spaces created for that purpose for the day of the eclipse. Moreover, without having been informed, the parking area was found closed with a chain and padlock, delaying our departure by several tens of minutes and with only the "release" of the padlock combination through an intermediary (the person(s) in charge were too busy to pay attention to the "whim" of a guest...). This last aspect provides the cue to highlight the "great kindness and helpfulness" on the part of all the staff: never a greeting, never a hint of a smile, as if the presence of those who make them work and earn money were a nuisance. To conclude, at the moment of passing by the reception for the "check-out operations," which consisted exclusively of leaving the key on the counter, the only word received was "Adios," to which, while I was rolling my luggage toward the exit, I replied with the following words: "in the Italian sense of the term"...
It is, in short, a property to definitely avoid.

Genuine family-run hotel - a rare thing!

Superb location, warm and friendly atmosphere, amazing sunsets over the sea from your balcony. This is a rare find in Mallorca, a hotel still owned and run by a local family. The location is superb, in a peaceful coastal village, looking directly out to see. No frills or luxuries (so maybe not suitable for everyone) - just enjoy the experience.
