Beautiful location. Would return.
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, breakfast is lovely and the views are spectacular. The staff are all very friendly, with a special mention to the lovely guy who makes the omelettes — a real highlight!
The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is a few things that could be improved. The balcony was very narrow, meaning you had to sit sideways, and the chairs weren’t very comfortable, so we didn’t use it much. Some balconies also appeared to be much bigger than others. The shower screen wasn’t very effective and could definitely be longer to prevent water going onto the bathroom floor.
We also felt it was disappointing to have to pay €15 for sunbeds as hotel guests, particularly when non-residents use them too and locals sometimes take them when guests leave without paying. The children selling things and jumping off the pier right next to guests relaxing can also be disruptive. At times, there were no pool towels available either.
Despite these points, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

Lovely hotel, beautiful view
We had a partial sea view and it was great. I recommend this.
Breakfast was lovely.
Small roof terrace with sun beds and pool, was ideal. You have to book sunbeds. €8 per half day for a sun beds but you get that as credit at the bar (small local freight beer was €4).
The sunbeds by the sea were great. Simply because the view is so good and you can swim in the sea. You had to book these via the restaurant and they were €15 per day but no credit like the roof terrace.
Rooms were new and modern. We did hear noise from the rooms either side so wasn’t perfect from a sleep perspective.
Reception were helpful.
I would return and use this hotel again. Far nicer than being in the more touristy and busier areas.

A very good experience
The hotel is fine…. The rooms are not special. But there are several things that were quite special. The location is great, right near all the Cavtat activities. The breakfast was outstanding. It was the only hotel we stayed at in Croatia that had an omelet chef. And reception was very responsive when my husband was melting down, literally and figuratively.

Go to the beach next door for 7 euros each.
Booked a deluxe balcony facing the sea - nice view but room was very basic. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together with single sheets - no bottled water provided in the room.
Dinner expensive - plenty of decent restaurants within walking distance
The owners appear to be squeezing as much money as they can from a hotel in a great position and living on its past reputation
