Cet appartement au bord de la plage se trouve à 2,3 km de Playa Cocles et à 6,2 km de Playa Grande. Profitez des nombreuses infrastructures de loisirs proposées par l'hébergement et qui incluent notamment un centre de fitness et un service de location de vélos. Cet appartement propose également l'accès Wi-Fi à Internet gratuit, un service de conciergerie et une aire de pique-nique. Lors de votre séjour dans cet appartement, vous pourrez prendre vos repas dans votre chambre grâce au service d'étage (horaires limités). Les équipements et services proposés incluent un service d'arrivée express, un service de départ express et un service de nettoyage à sec / blanchisserie. En échange d'un supplément, l'hébergement propose une navette vers et depuis l'aéroport (24 h/24) et un parking gratuit se trouve dans l'enceinte de l'hébergement. Delightfully slightly outside of most people's comfort zones. Was great.
Stayed at the Tree House which is almost entirely open to the jungle. Only the two bedrooms fully close and lock (the refrigerator has a clamp because the racoons learned how to open it).
Two levels. Downstairs is the kitchen and a sitting area and an unbelievable bathroom where both the shower and toilet are constructed within a tree. Sit down at the toilet and you will be looking out at the thick jungle, which somehow ensures your privacy. From humans, anyway.
The downstairs bedroom looks like a room for kids with two twin beds. It is glassed in and air conditioned.
To get upstairs you walk along a wooden suspension bridge which is a bit steep and actually a bit trying after a few cervezas. There is a queen sized bed with netting (the room is not air conditioned but screened) and there is a more conventional bathroom.
There is also a patio area for hanging out with a grill and hot tub for soaking.
The beach and grounds are great for exploring.
Some notes:
-The town of Puerto Viejo is 7km away. Closer to the Treehouse you can walk alongside the road to causal eateries, restaurants and at least one grocery.
-Flew from San Jose in a Sansa single engine Cessna. Part of the adventure but not good for fearful flyers, as you really feel turbulence. Professionally run and flown. Takes 40 minutes to Limon and then about 1:15 in a taxi that Treehouse can help arrange.
-Yes, you can walk to some restaurants but it is more fun to buy ingredients at the grocery and cook in either the kitchen or on the grill. You can eat at a restaurant anywhere, so take this opportunity to make dinner in the jungle. Download a movie from Netflix and watch it afterwards with background jungle sounds (they also have decent wi-fi).
-I found it helpful to have a small LED flashlight. In a conventional hotel there is a light switch by the door. Here you have to find it and could trip over a tree root. Also useful if you are walking alongside the road at night to increase visibility.
-You can consider coming with a bigger group, the Chrystal House and Beach House are nearby.
The whole thing is as fun as it is unique, and even educational.
