A nice experience lovely food and setting

It's been a little while since we have eaten at Casa Mespila so decided to eat there, rang twice to try and book a table but went to voicemail asking to call back. Was in the process of looking for an alternative when my phone rang, they were returning my call. Arrived a little early but it wasn't a problem and we were shown to our table. The menu and wine list arrived for us to consider our choices.
Opted for the figs stuffed with halloumi and the baked Camembert cheese to start. For mains The Hill, fillets of sea bass with a sweet potato sriacha mash with curly legumes and the pork tenderloin deglazed with Commanderia with honey & herbs, and pureed trahana with orange zest. Ordered a bottle of Ezousa Xynisteri wine.
An amuse bouche of Mediterranean salad was brought to the table along with artisanal breads and lovely black olives. The amuse bouche was very well done in a black pastry with a topping of coconut and zest.
Starters arrived and they were very generous plates, the Camembert had a honey drizzle and topped with figs, the stuffed figs inter-spaced with cherry tomatoes topped with walnuts and a home made tahini sauce. Mains arrived a little while later, it was nice to have 10 minutes or so between courses. The plates were well presented and very decent portions, however my fish presented a challenge!! As a kid I was always taught to eat my vegetables first then the meat/fish once I had cleared my vegetables (why I don't know because back in the day vegetables were boiled for hours so little nutritional value) and I do this still today! The sweet potato was spread across the fish and had I realised this would have asked for it on the side of the fish. The sriracha added a different dimension to the sea bass with a little kick to it. I did enjoy it however and would order it again. The pork was equally good served on a bed of puree trahana but don't think my partner read the menu properly because he doesn't usually like trahana but enjoyed the dish nevertheless!
The courtyard is a lovely environment, subtle lighting and background music. Service was good didn't feel rushed and sufficient time between courses.

A hidden gem in Paphos center ( Ktima)

A beautiful garden where one can enjoy very fresh and tasty Mediterranean flavors . The fresh salad presented in a plant pot was superb.

Excellence personified

An excellent restaurant the food was delicious we had Camembert with grapes delicious zucchini I balls with feta cheese the wine was from Leytembo delicious fruity and the prawns sublime . Antonia the lovely waitress from Greece was exceptional also the young man they could teach some of the sullen waiters and waitresses in Paphos a lot about exceptional manners . Nothing was too much trouble 34 c yet we had ice cold water and a fan in the courtyard the atmosphere is to die for .well done to the excellent chef will definitely return .

Very good dinner in a charming patio.
Greek breakfast. One is allowed to only have a coffee.
One room had a very strong bad odor. Running the shower for 10 minutes removed it.
Friendly staff.
