Naxi Family Guesthouse Located in Zhongnuoyu Village, in the Diqing Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. The Inn sits at the intersection of the century-old Tea Horse Road and the famous upper gorge hiking trail of the Magnificent Tiger Leaping Gorge. Founded by a local Naxi ethnic couple, Li Yuan and his wife WU. Starting out with small beginnings by occasionally accommodating foreign hikers the guesthouse was later officially established in 1990. Over time it evolved from basic lodging to a modern Inn equipped with private bathrooms, and other contemporary amenities. Today, the Inn offers various accommodations, including; dormitory beds, standard rooms, and snow-mountain view rooms with tasteful and homely decor. There are also three viewing platforms on the roof where you can enjoy a cold crisp beer after a long day of travel and look out at the magnificent Yulong Snow Mountain. We also provide supplementary services for hikers, such as guided tours, camping arrangements, private transportation and the convenience of having your luggage transported to the end of the hiking trail. Retaining the rustic warmth of a Naxi household, the inn serves complimentary mint tea to passing hikers and shares Naxi cultural traditions. Its growth story reflects perseverance and dedication.
