Stay away from this hotel, there are many other better choices.
I arrived in the afternoon but the hotel was closed so I had to call the staff. As you can imagine, no one speaks English but they understood that I was in front of the hotel and I was waiting to check in. I had to wait 45 minutes before someone arrived to open: no “hello”, no “sorry”. The owner just asked me the passport with arrogance.
Then, hotel gives you the wechat contact if you need assistance after your arrival: I olny asked an information about the city and they replied 8 hours after…
I had the feeling they were upset for having a foreigner in the hotel.

Dear customer, we're deeply sorry for the long wait that day. The reason why there was no staff was that the front - desk lady's child got sick suddenly and she rushed to the hospital, but the journey back was far. We normally offer 24 - hour service. She didn't greet you as she doesn't know any English, but she was so eager to apologize to you. We have English - speaking staff for foreign friends on wechat. We're extremely sorry for the inconvenience and our lousy service. We sincerely hope this won't spoil your wonderful trip. We pray for your forgiveness and wish you all the best .

Room was big and very comfortable, nice bed and decent bathroom, clean enough. Included a free tea and a little New Year cake which was very nice. Great location only 10 minutes from the old town or the metro. The owner was friendly and helpful given I don't speak Chinese. It's the only place I've stayed in China where the owner has taken me to the police station to register my passport - usually they make a copy and do it themselves so I'm not sure why it was done this way, but it wasn't really an issue and the lady recommended me a nice breakfast on the way so it was no problem at all. Overall was pretty good and I'd stay again.

I travel a lot and this is my favorite hotel. They were so good to me and my family. They brought 2 cars to the railway station to collect us and our luggage, then helped with the police and showed us where everything is. They could not have been more welcoming... it was like visiting family, who I like. Definitely recommend.
