Accommodation at Sweetland Hotel.

Accommodated in this hotel from 29.07.25 to 04.08.25 in a 2-room room, 2 adults and 2 children, room listed as triple. Both rooms have double beds, kids sleep in one room, parents in the other. Each room has its own bathroom with a sink, which is a big plus. Parents' room has bathroom+shower and bath. The room was replenished every day - toothbrushes, combs, toothpaste, looms and cotton wands. The towels were updated every day, and there were two robes in the closet, and there was a safe. Slippers on everyone, scales. Nightstand with fridge inside, teapot, custard leaf tea, three mugs with lids, water 0.5 was renewed every day. Every room had a TV. The windows reclined, the rooms were climate controlled, you could set the temperature. The only thing is they never cleaned the carpeted floor when they came in, there was a cigarette bull under the bed, put it under the TV, thought they were going to, not here. Yes, in rooms in China you can smoke, but since we are all non-smokers and the rooms have been smoked clean - this, along with the untidy floor, is the only downside....Breakfast included, choice is large, coffee is delicious, salads, fruit - watermelons and melons in pieces.

The delusion of being 5 stars

I was under the impression that this was a 5 star hotel, and being in other 5 star hotels around the world, I have a fine idea of how that’d be. This is straight robbery.
First off, we stayed here for almost a full week. The body wash (400ml bottle) finished after a few presses on the first day, and so did the conditioner. Very inconveniencing and frustrating. The “handwashing soap” was not for handwashing at all, more for washing CLOTHES. It is NOT for washing skin. There was also exposed wiring under the mirror lights, as well as marks all along the bathroom of god knows what.
The beds and blackout curtains were the highlight of our room- everything else was decent.
The hotel claims to have “high speed internet”, but it’s painfully the opposite. The internet speed is horrible. We just used our eSIM data the entire time, which is quite unfortunate.
The hotel does feature a relatively large sized gym, as well as a pool. However, both open at roughly 8AM and close around 8:30PM, which is not great. I figure if you’re a tourist, you’d be out exploring and shopping during the day, right? As for the staff, they’re all nice, but none speak any other language other than Chinese, so best to use a translator app rather than trying to communicate like the stone ages.
The location of the hotel is probably its strongest suit, as it’s located right next to a large mall called “Olympia 66”. There’s a convenience store down the street too, called “Lawson”, but it’s quite small and doesn’t have much useful items.
All in all, I advise anyone considering this hotel to go ahead and find another hotel.

When I stayed at the town's five-star hotel, I encountered some issues. The receptionists and staff were unable to speak in English. I had to change rooms twice, but both were affected by mold around the AC vents. The bed linens and other amenities were average, but the cleanliness of the bathrooms was poor.

Very nice, clean, good location near the Olympic square and the subway station, there are a lot of restaurants nearby.
