Right in the heart of downtown
The check in process was efficient and smooth (on the eighth floor), and our room was spacious, with plenty of amenities. They have a gym on the tenth floor which was well equipped, which required prior registration before going inside - although the staff manning the counter can be a bit stern at times.
I didn’t have breakfast included in the room rate so I cannot comment on their breakfast.
All in all I had a good stay there and would recommend it / love to return again one day.

Nice big room, polite staff, central location.
Welcome
When we pulled up at the ground floor, the bell hops immediately helped to take charge of our bags. But since it was just one bag each, we decided to roll them to our rooms instead.
Check-in was breezy and polite, with the front office staff recognising my Bonvoy status.
room
We key-card our way up on the lift to our floor and found our upgraded room. It was nice digs, much nicer than when we stayed for one night on the way to JiuZhaiGou.
We had a corner suite, occupying a nice quiet corner of the hotel. A short but wide entry way with a sliding door on the left leading into the walk in closet and straight ahead into the room. The bed is on the left on a carpeted area of the room. Further in is a study stable with comfortable work chair. Large windows over look Chengdu city.

The room has a King bed and we slept very well here. Not much street noise can be heard. There is a small sofa area on the other side of the room. The hotel provided us with some seasonal fruits which was a nice touch.
The bathroom can be entered wither from the room or through the walk in closet. The toilet is in its own closed space. There is japanese toilet functions on the toilet. Single Sink area has wide surface area for His/Her's amenities. Hotel provides very comfortable bath robes and slippers. The shower and bath tub is in another glass enclosed area. There is a privacy blind for the windows looking out. But if you're adventurous, you could have a soak in the bath tub while looking out at the city.
Loads of amenities are provided by the hotel. There is also ample bath towels, soaps, gels, shampoo and conditioner.
Dining
Our room came with breakfast. This can be had in the cafe. Plenty of food available and there's a barista made coffee too.
We did not get a chance to use the lounge.
Gym
I used the gym while in residence. It is a big space, and well equipped with weights machines. free weights, limited Kettle Bells, and a row of Cardio Machines. Staff needed to be reminded to clear some rubbish left by other users [apple core, energy gel wrapper].
Overall a good stay here. Good premium feel to the hotel, much helped by well trained, polite staff. Rooms are nice. Recommended!

Outstanding Service by Lany and a Wonderful Stay at JW Marriott Chengdu
The room was also very nicely decorated, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. The Executive Lounge was excellent, with a great food selection during the evening that I thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel’s location is also very convenient.
Overall, a very pleasant stay, made even more seamless by Lany’s professionalism and dedication.
