The worst hotel experience
We arrived at check-in, and the receptionist (the only person in sight who was working at the hotel), met us and made the admission. He assigned us a cabin, gave us the key, and we went to the cabin. First point, the receptionist did not show us the room where we were going to stay.
When we arrived at the room (they put cabin but are rooms glued together, in an open environment), it felt a very strong smell of aromatizing, almost drowning, as if trying to hide another smell.
I had arrived very tired in the room, given my journey, which I put to rest, and fell asleep. Clearly that's why I got "more comfortable" in my dress. After an hour of sleep, I got the worst surprise: THE SAME RECEPTIONIST WHO RECEIVED ME OPENS MY ROOM DOOR, WITHOUT WARNING BEING EXPOSED WITHOUT CLOTHES. This was a tremendous embarrassment to me, and I felt exposed and violated. At first I was very confused and scared. The receptionist as soon as she opened the door closed and left. I and the people who accompanied me were scared and confused.
Why did you open the door, is the door supposed to have a lock, how could you open it? What if we hadn't been in the room, but left our belongings? Would we have been robbed?
After this very uncomfortable experience, and looking in more detail at the room, I notice that:
1) The door has no latch
2) The door has cracks
3) The curtains have "gaps" that allow to see from the outside anyone outside the room, or even outside the hotel.
4) You can easily open the door, without having a key card (given the above), leaving the door vulnerable to theft at any time. Add to this that the hotel atmosphere is open, so there are fewer layers of control than those entering the hotel.
5) After the smell of the flavoring has dropped, you feel a strong smell of drainage from the bathroom. Clearly the flavouring was trying to hide this smell for visitors.
6) Given the structure of the rooms, you can hear everything in the neighboring rooms. The walls are too hollow.
After all this, I made the determination to leave and my hotel company. The hotel tried to apologize for what happened, offering us drinks, or a better room (this does not matter since they all follow the same structure, and I would expect the care to these in the doors, walls or smell to be the same), but, based on what happened, I felt that this was a mockery, a few drinks do not solve the great shame that I took. I rejected any amendments, and I went to another hotel. 5 days later my return came.
I do not recommend anyone to go to this hotel, it was a disappointment. It is better to go to an Ibis or Diego de Almagro, or some hotel on the coast.
