the beds.....

I stayed at the Westin while working at an event at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. I found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near numerous attractions and restaurants in the downtown area. The beds were as comfortable as I've come to expect from Westin hotels, and the indoor pool and hot tub were a refreshing amenity after long workdays.

Nice location, short on value.

It was just Ok. Pretty good location. Toronto has an indoor system that allows you to move between many buildings downtown called the PATH. You can access it across from the hotel. Very nice. We caught a water taxi across the harbor to Centre Island. Spent a lovely day there. We also had a nice view. My son enjoyed the pool.
Now the bad. First inside the room the bathroom smelled moldy. My wife determined it was the shower curtain (yes, this place has a bathtub for the shower). We called for a replacement. The worker who replaced it was adamant that it wasn’t the curtain but I asked her to replace it anyway. It was noticeably better. I mention this episode because the next day after housekeeping the smell was back. The curtain had been replaced again. Don’t know if it was intentional.
The room was also very damp. Everything had a slight dampness. Don’t know if this is typical but it wasn’t great.
In world where we just accept these things I was nonetheless irritated by the $23 glass of Prosecco. That money is certainly not going to hotel upkeep. The three pictures below were taken in our hall. At least there overnight, if not longer.

You should not have had to deal with that guestroom condition. The recurring odor in the bathroom, even after the shower curtain was replaced, is disappointing and does not reflect the standard of comfort we aim to provide. There were stains on the linens, carpets were dirty and the breakfast staff were very slow. Front desk staff pleasant and helpful. Pool and family fun zones are nice amenities.

This hotel was great. We got adjoining rooms for grandparents and daughter with 2 kids. The kids program was super and 5th floor area outside was very nice. would return.

Good location and we love the amenities but not worth the insanely overpriced rate per night. Paid $900 per night including taxes, The bathroom was clogged and room was dusty.
