Lacking the essentials
Inside the property there is one tiny bathroom which is shared by 4 rooms, I think this is advertised on the listing but it soon became very inconvenient.
The bedroom again was tiny, it had no window and very hot (although a fan is provided).
It’s listed as a BnB, however it’s a self serve breakfast and only eggs and bread are provided, we had to buy breakfast for the week.
The 4 rooms in the basement must be for visitors, but upstairs it appears there is a permanent resident. This person clearly smokes inside as the smell flows through the whole property. The resident is also very loud, and can be heard walking around all night.
In terms of service, our room was not cleaned once during the whole week, no new bedding, no fresh towels.
On the whole, you get what you pay for, however this property is lacking in basic BnB service and amenities

Dirty, hot, disgusting
The room was filthy and cramped, much smaller than advertised. It was supposed to come with bedding and towels and a coffee maker. We were never given towels and the duvet didn't have a cover on. The pillows were uncomfortable and full of stains. There was no coffee maker in the room. There were stains and dirt on the walls, the skirting boards were so dirty, that it looked as though they had never been cleaned. The bed was a flimsy IKEA bed, which was uncomfortable to sleep on, to the point where we slept on the floor. There was supposed to be a seating area, which according to the photos was a small sofa, this was not in the room.
The bathroom was disgusting, there was one bathroom in the whole property. At one point, there were 9 people staying at the property, all using the same bathroom. You could touch both walls with your arms out and you could rest your chin on the sink if you sat on the toilet, it was so small. There was black mould on the ceiling and in the shower. The ceiling had paint and plaster falling off. There was dirt, grime and hair everywhere.
The house rules ask you to leave your shoes by the door and wear indoor slippers. As they claim to keep the floors clean and sanitised. We followed the house rules, as requested. However, we were barefoot in our own room and after walking around the room the first night, our feet were black. The floors were just that dirty.
The "continental" breakfast that was supposed to be included comprised of bread and eggs that were left in the fridge. There was no milk available for the entirety of our stay. So we were unable to make our coffee.
There is street parking outside, and we were told to park outside the property. However, we were not informed that our car had to face the same was as the flow of traffic, which led to us getting a $40.00 parking ticket.
