A wonderful stay at the LBLR.

We had the nicest stay at the Long Beach Lodge Resort. This year, we were able to get one of the Pacific penthouse suites for our four-day holiday in Tofino. The room was even nicer than the pictures on the website and had many deluxe appointments throughout. You could tell the room had been thoughtfully furnished and decorated and felt more like a home away from home than a hotel room. We enjoyed all of our breakfasts and dinners in the great room and had lunch on the beach every day at the Sandbar Bristo. We found all of the staff to be polite and helpful and this year we never ventured from the Lodge. We took walks on the beach every day, and at low tide explored the tide pools teaming with life at the north end of Cox Bay. With so much to do around the Lodge, our car never left the parking lot and the television at the room was never turned on! It was such a wonderful and relaxing experience, we made our reservation for a stay next year before we left.

Cozy Cabins, a Stunning Beach, and a Trip We’re Already Planning to Repeat

The beach itself is genuinely stunning. One honest note for anyone booking the cabins: they sit in a long, winding forested area, so you do have to walk down to reach the beach and take in the view. We loved the coziness and privacy of the setting, but in a perfect world we’d have loved to see the water from the cabin at the same time. It’s a real trade-off between seclusion and views, and worth knowing going in.
A couple of other things to set expectations. This isn’t a high-end luxury property, and there aren’t many communal spaces to hang out in outside of your own cabin, so it’s best suited to travelers who are happy settling into their own space. That said, the restaurant was really good, which made it easy to stay put and settle in rather than venturing out every night.
We did look closely at the other properties nearby, and the Long Beach Lodge is much better in almost every way. If you’re considering Tofino, we can’t recommend it enough. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back.

Relaxing break

Great few days for 2 surfers and 2 body boarders
Staff were very helpful, the atmosphere was relaxed and our beach side rooms were very good, clean and very comfortable, what a privilege to be in such a space.
Food at the restaurant was excellent with gluten free accommodated as it was the Sand bar bistro. We loved the outside dining and drinks there with fire pits to sit around- maybe 1 or 2 more as they were popular
Parking was easy

Great experience

I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone. This hotel is perfect for any kind trip or situation. The best thing is that you can access Cox bay within just a few seconds on foot!

Great hotel on beach front

Location excellent for our trip with James Whaling to see the black bears and close to town. The restuarant and beach snack bar were excellent. Staff fantastic and helpful. If you like surfing, you just have to fall out of bed and the beach is on your doorstep
