Excellent hotel within walking distance to everything

The location of the hotel was great. Since the center of St. John's is not very big, you could walk everywhere from the hotel without any problems.
My partner and I stayed here for five nights. Our room had a view of the city. It was quite large and equipped with everything you need. I really liked the thick, comfy mattress on the bed.
We had access to the lounge, where we went for breakfast, during the day for drinks, and in the evening for a small snack. The breakfast was sufficient, and I really appreciated that there was also fruit tea available. One morning, the lounge was closed, and breakfast was served at the restaurant. It was also excellent there.
The staff was very pleasant, check-in and check-out were quick, and we didn't encounter any problems during our stay.

Top notch front desk service

Our group tour somehow got my husband and I a room with two beds! Well Laura at the Front Desk pulled some magic, and voila the next three nights we slept in a king sized bed. Ashley the manager was also very helpful, and managed to find us a room with one bed for when we got back from our tour!
The front desk staff together with their awesome manager Ashley have been nothing but accommodating and helpful! This is what I would call superb customer service! I have been a longtime member of the Sheraton hotel group, and they did not disappoint! Thanks for your hospitality, you represent Newfoundland extremely well! You made two Ontarians very happy!

The foyer of the hotel looked dirty, big old grey curling rug in the middle. The bedrooms smelled bad and the bedroom carpets were sticky and old looking. The restaurant was nice, the food was ok. The service was excellent and the front desk were very helpful. The harbor view was fantastic but would not stay here again for $300 a night.

Close to sightseeing, harbour and downtown

Sheraton St. John's is located in downtown St. John's and a 15-minute drive from the airport, YYT. The hotel is in the Signal Hill area, close to sights, bars and restaurants. The restaurant and bar is on the lobby level with the reception desk, and on the lower level is the indoor pool, sauna and a good size gym. The club lounge is next to the reception and has all day drinks in addition to breakfast and evening food between 5pm and 7pm. The rooms are nice and well planned for both business and leisure travellers, and the corner rooms offers both space and nice harbour views. Parking is C$25 per day, however there is on street parking just outside the hotel if you prefer to spend less! Parking is controlled 8-18 Monday to Friday and max 4 hours, but if you change street, then you pay only C$12 a day. Overall a nice hotel for exploring St. John's.

Over Rated

This hotel is over rated and over priced. Spend your money elsewhere. The rooms are very ordinary, what you would expect at a Holiday Inn for lot less money. I do not recommend this place and needless to say will not be back. Far too expensive with very poor accommodation and service.
