Location was in a quiet but convenient place - close to a gas station and food stops. Room was basic but breakfast and freshly-baked cookies were a treat!

Friendly atmosphere and great food

The rooms are a little dated, which is to be expected, but staff are friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant/bar has a nice patio with a great atmosphere and excellent food.

ZERO STARS! Cockroach Motel & $420 Theft

If I could give negative stars, I would. This place isn’t a hotel – it’s a biohazard with beds.
I checked in on August 8, 2026, paying a whopping $420 CAD – four‑star price for a negative‑star experience. At 3 AM, I woke up to use the bathroom and found cockroaches swarming the sink. Then I turned around to see more roaches crawling up the wall near the table and chairs. Not one. Not two Cockroaches parading around like they owned the room.
I didn’t bother going to the front desk because the hotel was fully booked (thanks to the Jonas Brothers – even they wouldn’t stay here). I checked out early, disgusted and sleep‑deprived.
But here’s the kicker...They granted me an early check‑in at 12:30 PM that same day, which I graciously appreciated until staff later told the Hotels.com rep that “because we gave you early check‑in, we didn’t have time to inspect the room.” Excuse me? So you knowingly handed me a roach‑infested room and now you’re using your own courtesy as an excuse? That’s not hospitality, that’s negligence, pure and simple.
This is a health code violation plain and simple. I asked when the last pest control inspection was done - crickets. They won’t tell me because they probably don’t have one.
Hotels.com offered me a **$75 credit** , as if that covers a night of nightmares, a lost night of sleep, and the mental image of roaches crawling where I was supposed to relax. $75 is an insult. They “escalated” my complaint, but the first rep got it wrong, and now I’m waiting another 24‑48 hours for a “final outcome.” I’m not holding my breath.
Let me be crystal clear: $420 for a room that should be condemned or disinfected at the very least, and all I get is pocket change and a runaround. This isn’t customer service; it’s a scam with a front desk.
Do not stay here. Not if you value your health, your sanity, or your wallet. If you see a deal, run the other way. I’d rather sleep in my car than give this motel another penny.
Motel 6 – you left the light on for the roaches, not for your guests. Shame on you. And shame on Hotels.com for treating loyal customers like trash.
My blood is boiling, and I will take this to small claims court if I have to. Watch me.

It was a decent place to stay for a night on our roadtrip. Breakfast was pretty good and included in the price.

We were a little disappointed in this hotel. We booked and paid for it in April and when we arrived on Aug 4th were told they only had an assessable room available. When entering the room the air conditioner was making a racket and being very hot out it was required. We went back to the front desk to complain and while we were there someone called in and cancelled their room so we were able to change location. If the cancellation hadn’t been made we would have been stuck with the original room even though we booked 3 plus months in advance. The rooms are okay however the air conditioners are ancient and walls are thin.
