Everything very clean, friendly staff, close to everything , had a great stay. Highly recommended.

I would not recommend staying at this motel. The room smelled like pee. The mattress and box springs were full of holes from cigarettes. The rug had stains. The door didn't seal properly and a breeze came through door. Very gross and disgusting room. If I could give the hotel a negative score I would. Plus I reserved a king bed but ended up with a double queen. The rooms are first come first serve.

The property was fine (rooms were clean enough but just felt dirty and old, and the sign that says 'free breakfast' outside is a complete lie), but I would not stay there again. I was told when I checked in that they would take a $100 security deposit and it would be refunded the day after we checked out. I noticed that the deposit was not refunded yet so I called the property to inquire. A very rude man answered and told me that if I didn't specifically ask for it during checkout then it wouldn't be refunded. I was gobsmacked by this! The man who I spoke to kept interrupting and talking over me and needed my credit card information again in order to process it and I explained he already had all of my information. He yelled and said that if I wanted my refund, I'd have to give him my details all over again. He processed my refund immediately but I just can't believe that had I not asked they wouldn't have refunded my money. They are scammers and I can see why this place is barely hanging on to it's 2 stars.

there is a multitude of food chooses near by---fast food as well as restaurants
the staff were very helpful and cheerful and courteous
the pricing is excellent for being in the neighbourhood of the university
we enjoyed our stay at Star Lodge
