An Oceanside Oasis
The beautiful Oceanside Inn is located on the shore near Peggy’s Cove, and is owned and run by a very friendly and hospitable man by the name of Zack, and his lovely family. The location is beautiful with gardens and lots of outdoor seating where one can relax and admire the breathtaking views of the ocean and nature. Upon entering the Oceanside Inn, you feel immediately at home. The inn itself, along with the rooms, is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We initially planned to stay only one night, but we loved the place so much, and there is much to see and do in the area, that we ended up staying longer. Our first night was spent in one of the Queen rooms, and it was lovely, bright and spacious. We had a balcony that overlooked the gardens, the bed was so comfy, and the washroom was equipped with everything one could possibly require, from shampoo and cream rinse, to lots of towels and even a hairdryer. WiFi was great, and the TV worked wonderfully. When we decided to stay longer, Zack bumped us up to the King room, which had a balcony and a lovely sea view. In addition, this room comes with a huge massage bathtub, a walk-in closet, and a sitting area with a sofa. Both rooms contained a fridge, which comes in handy for keeping drinks and food cold.
On the main floor, there is a bright breakfast room, nicely decorated with lots of windows overlooking the sea. For breakfast, guests can help themselves to a variety of fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea, toast, cereal, yogurt, and even pancakes and eggs made daily by Zack for those who wish. There are also tables outside for those who prefer to eat breakfast surrounded by nature. Coffee and tea are available for guests throughout the day.
The Oceanside Inn is lovely, both in its peaceful and stunning location and also within the building and rooms. Zack is happy to assist guests with planning what to see in the area, and he can also arrange hiking, paddling, and boat tours. We highly recommend the lovely Oceanside Inn, and we definitely plan to stay here again next time we are in the area.

Top notch accommodation
My husband and I spent a night away and I could not have picked a more beautiful,clean and safe feeling place ! Highly responsive owners ,- just gorgeous - yummy restaurant nearby ( Shaw's landing) just amazing

Wonderful Stay at a Cozy and Clean Inn
I had a great stay at 181 Oceanside Inn! The location was convenient and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff were kind and responsive, making check-in and communication easy. I really appreciated the peaceful environment and how well-kept the property was. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay.

Hidden delight
We came across this delightful restaurant when we were investigating place to eat in Salcombe and boy am I glad we did our research. A fabulous find - wonderful food and warm welcome from the delightful young owners. We’ll worth the short drive from Salcombe and we’ll return next year.

Couldn’t wait to leave!!
The advertisements for this B&B indicate rooms have ocean or garden views. Ours had neither. Upon arrival, Robert, the owner/host, clarified that if you book through Booking.com you’re not going to get a view ... you get the room at the back of the house. Our room looked out over the parking area and wood pile. The bed was comfortable, but there was no comfortable chair to sit on. The two wicker chairs had old, worn out cushions and you felt like you were sitting in a hole. The silver was coming off of the bathroom mirror and was dirty. The towels smelled strongly of fabric softener. The carpet was rippled and looked dirty. A pot of coffee on the breakfast table would have been nice... you had to wait for a refill. Also, even though the web site says he accepts credit, he only wants cash.
