Great.

Nature Lodge is a very nice little refuge, with bungalows scattered over a plot where horses "survived" live a peaceful life. The restaurant is all wooden, very welcoming, and the dishes well cooked. The hostess is adorable and speaks very good English. The Nature Lodge also works in partnership with a foundation for the conservation and protection of elephants that must be seen (one day, organized by the Lodge). Spend a stay there, you will not be disappointed!

Had Potential

I chose to stay here because it is owned by locals and they hire local people. Pahn is a terrific host. Her English is perfect, she is extremely helpful and hard working and professional. I stayed in at standard bungalow. It was very clean and the AC worked great. I loved being on the edge of the jungle and spent a couple mornings on my porch with coffee, listening to and seeing birds. Pahn helped arrange a tuktuk drive for me who took me to s couple very local waterfalls. He speaks excellent English and shared so much about the people and culture, it seemed like a tour. The Nature Lodge is off the main street which I like. Also, the reception area is big and comfortable with 24 hour availability. I sat there most of an afternoon/ evening to read and write. Why 3 stars? The food is expensive and not very good at all.... bad even. With being off main roads, I had hoped to support their local business and eat there. And the grounds are in bad shape - even a little weed pulling would make a big difference. I love horses, but wasn't aware there are at least 7 unfriendly ones roaming freeky on the grounds. Not a bother, but I had to reroute my walk to avoid them. The attached (but outdoor) bathroom was perfectly fine except it had no open air, just a glass top, so got unbearably hot and like a greenhouse. The bathroom door doesn't even fit the frame and can'tbe shut, but a solo traveler won't mind. It seems to waste AC that way. The front door, while it locked, did not latch regularly and was set apart from the door jamb so far, they're was a view outside. Place needs some care, and I hope it gets it. I found a different place to stay after 2 nights and checked out early.

No dilapidated rooms

Nature there is only the name
Everything is dilapidated.the sheets are not clean. The bathroom just dropped us in the shower a flood
The reception has bought us accommodation is the same, cold water. The exterior decor is messy.
The photos of the city are 20 years old.
Spend your way , there are guest rooms more top than here

Very disappointed cleanliness leaves much to be desired. No duvet cover dirty sheet leakage water ceiling site lack of maintenance site is far from everything

Delightful place

A nice place to the east. The houses were super nice but because of the strong wind in January we had some trouble with that. The view from the cottage was super and relaxed. The service and quality of the food top. It would get a 5 if just a little more maintenance was given. Tip for the hotel, sunbeds by the pool.
