Stay in the center of Ypres.
We had the family father and then you have to go up 3 big stairs and another flight of stairs to the top bedroom. The rooms were clean and modern with coffee facilities. Sockets next to the beds are provided. The beds slept well, the pillows were a bit on the thick side. And the space around the bed was a bit tight.
The friendly host sent on day of arrival an app with the codes to enter, which worked perfectly. You have a view of the cloth hall and the cathedral from the balcony.
Unfortunately you can't have breakfast there but plenty of options nearby.
There was one hook in the bathroom, nothing else to put your clothes or stuff on.

The room looks pretty new. The bed was big and comfortable. We appreciated the coffee machine, the safe, the fridge and the hair dryer. The bathroom was very big and the shower was great.
It was a great space in a great location – there was just a few things that would have helped to make it perfect.
State of the art technology… but for us – we found it very complicated. We managed to get the lights off but we never figured out the air con – we just kept the patio doors open instead. Maybe a small printed guide would have helped. (we are quite old!)
There was no furniture on the terrace – don’t bother paying extra for the terrace as you can’t really go out there. A small patio set would have made all the difference.
We could have used a suitcase – luggage rack. Wheeling cases through the streets and then putting them on the bright white quilt covers just felt wrong!
We could have used a choice of pillows. There were 4 but they were all the same – very thick and hard. Great for side sleepers but my partner sleeps on his front and likes a thin pillow. He was very uncomfortable and ended up with a rolled up jumper as a pillow. In all – I’d definitely recommend the room, and I’d be happy to return.
