Very welcoming and family castle
The rooms are more than correct
Thank you to Fanny new manager and chef yes she has the 2 caps! for this delicious meal and to our little waiter who is caring for his Clientele. Remember that you stay in a castle and not in a hotel chain! Everything was nice from the evening meal to breakfast.

Go for the place but the rest deserves better. Obsolete furniture, obvious lack of maintenance. Breakfast shabby even if the evening meal was correct.

Promising but very disappointing
The castle was promising and of a certain class. The arrival welcome rather friendly. The room is large and friendly at first glance. Then, we find that there was only one small used bath towel per person, we have to claim one more. The bathroom quite old, no soap, no shower gel, no glass, no accessories like there are in any hotel, even basic. In the room, a lot of amateur repair: badly painted plasterboard, cracked, ... Not the big class, not to say class at all as you would expect for such a place.
The next day, taking down another person at the reception for breakfast. Not a hello, not a smile,... the average breakfast.
On leaving, the person at the reception, always as unsympathetic gives us the expense bill of 242€ when we had confirmed by email and therefore in writing that the cost of the stay was 230€, breakfast for 4 people included. Although I show the confirmation email, the only answer was that it was an error and the cost is indeed 242€. Given the antipathy of the person I pay and claim by email and the same person gives me the same answer. So I call the next day to explain and tell me that I will be refunded the conformation email at €230. As always nothing received, I send several emails and call several times and we do not answer ... Really sad. So I would not recommend this hotel.

Staying in hotel
Pleasant stay in a nice setting. Bathroom dated (70s) and rather cramped - with knees against bath when you're on toilet. Simple restaurant decor. With aperitif: free snack plate.

On August 19, the day after our overnight stay, we wrote the following at the hotel. We didn't get a response. Which is a smug testimony to the client's contempt. Those who read this commentary will therefore judge for themselves:
"Hello,
We stayed our night from August 16th to 17th and we still have to write to you our disappointment, and with the aim, if you wish, of improvement.
If the exterior frame is very beautiful by the old stones, we found room n°6 very dilapidated and very deformed in relation to the price paid by a moist atmosphere, the broken shower holder and the bathtub with the back under the shower bar that does not allow us to get closer at the risk of slipping (we almost slipped individually), letting water pass under the wall, hard mattress, ... (I will stop there by decency).
At breakfast, at 9:05 in addition to very basic frozen and "reheated" things, there remained ONE slice of cheese. The thermos coffee was colored water and there was no boiling water for tea. After a request, we received REAL coffee and only hot water (from the tap?) that did not even thin the tea bag.
As for the soft eggs, after twenty minutes, they were hard-boiled, and the Service unapologetic for the wait.
At the next table, we had already opened the "hat". Which is not very hygienic.
The staff is not up to what might seem like such a name for this establishment. He is not smiling or considerate with the attention that would make you want to come back. What is quite incomprehensible for such a setting, to apparently leave inexperienced people to "welcome" guests who only wish to have a good stay and leaving it with a good impression. On the contrary, unfortunately, three times.
In short, we paid almost a hundred euros to live a desolation worthy of a hoax.
After the fact, we understand your rating of 3.2 on Tripadvisor. We will probably also give our opinion. And from now on we won't be taken back.
Looking forward to a decent commercial return, we thank you for that."
