Excellent B&B

Very good B&B. The room was excellent, everything was extremely clean and the hosts were very friendly.
The breakfast was of a very high standard and the location is in a quiet street but only a 3 minute walk from the square. I look forward to my next visit.

Familiar and welcoming service, nice and clean rooms

The owners are more than friendly and very helpful with organizing and tips for the area. Lovely breakfast which lets no wishes open. Very familiar feeling.
The room was very clean and tidy. Spacious bathroom, a nice shower and warmed towels. The beds were standard size and comfortable. Cleaning service like in a hotel. I enjoyed it a lot and will sure come again.

Feels like staying at your grandparents

The owners warmed welcome us, were so friendly and helpful (gave some useful tips : gave us the city map, information where to park the car with cheap price in the city of bruges, etc).
The house and specially the room is so nice, clean and tidy.
At first we thought that there is no water boiler, tea/coffee provided as complimentary but apparently it was placed in the hall instead of inside the room, so we missed the tea-before-bed time at our first 2days of staying, but it is not a big deal
The breakfast is nice. We stayed there for 3nights and they served a bit different items during breakfast each day so you won't get bored. Freshly squeezed orange is included (my fav!)
We were there with our 8months old baby. The owners are so helpful for the baby as they have baby chair and toys (which are actually belong to their grandchildren).
It was a nice stay for us. It felt like we stayed at our grandparents. So much love and care provided.

A quiet and peaceful place to stay :-)

De Passant is a place, where you immediately feel at home. Clara is a very kind person and she is doing her job with a lot of love. The breakfast was very delicious and varied. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Eating breakfast at the garden was the icing on the cake. Because they have a beautiful garden, where you can relax. The location is great for driving to the Belgian coast or visiting Brugge or Gent, which are both beautiful old cities. Jabbeke is just like De Passant - a quiet and peaceful place to stay, which makes you forget about the world around you :-)

Welcome, fellow travelers!

We felt an instant connection with Johan and Clara as their love of travel and of meeting people was instantly apparent. The house is gorgeous, the breakfast delicious, and our room comfortable. We enjoyed picnics in the garden and chatting with them about everything from travel experiences to what to see in the area to the best Belgian beers. Every detail is perfect, even the quiet music at breakfast and their wonderful collections of travel art around the house. The location is great for exploring Bruges, Ghent, or the Belgian coast without the chaos and expense of actually staying in a city, and their tips make it easy to get to destinations. We LOVED staying here and hated to say goodbye. We hope to see them again one of these days....
