A nice characterful hotel in a location within easy walking distance of the central tourist areas. The provision to store luggage before check-in and after checking out was particularly welcome. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated although the ‘double’ bed was quite uncomfortable as was two single beds pushed together which created a sag in the middle. Also the room (3 on the ground floor) is located right next to the stairs that all other guests have to use and as a consequence was very noisy- you can hear footsteps on the stairs, voices, banging etc every time the stairs are used which started at 06.45 on a Sunday morning which was unwelcome and disturbing. My travel partner had a separate room on the 1st floor and also commented that this room was also subject to a lot of noise with ‘paper-thin walls’. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment.
Overall the hotel served the purpose for a brief 1 night stay in Ghent but would not like to stay any longer than that due to the disturbances whilst trying to sleep.

Noisy hotel.

Friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable bedding, and a spacious bathroom. The establishment is also very well located in relation to the center, which is a real plus. On the other hand, a major negative point regarding the noise: the hotel is very noisy, and you can hear people from other rooms quite clearly, which detracts from comfort and rest.

I must emphasize how incredible the staff is. They were exceptionally kind and helpful.
However, the building is certainly very dated. Having a room on the highest floor, the only way to the room was with a tiny staircase. Traveling with my older mother, I had to hold my breath tight every time she went down. Getting our luggage down the tiny stairs was an adventure in itself.
For a quick easy trip, I’d recommend here. However, if you’re traveling with semi limited mobility, you may want to keep looking.

The hotell need refurnishment. Sentral and quite. Much moskitos.

Friendly staff, great location. clean room with comfy beds and ample towels. Good storage in the room. No hooks in bathroom for hanging towels and clothes was a shame. Also no mirror in the room, only small mirror in bathroom. No batteries in the TV remote.
