Perfect location, great nights sleep and made more perfect with such excellent staff
The property is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Dinant, making it a perfect location for relaxing and it was very quiet.
The room was very basic, no tea or coffee making facilities but the hotel supply hot water and clean fresh water, including sparkling from the restaurant area or hot water from the bar free of charge.
The bar is open 24hrs, not that we used it.
Had a pizza and salad which was €20. Much cheaper than in the town centre.
The location is a walk into the centre and a pleasant one too as it’s located next to the river. Stunning views and buildings. A visit to the church and sax museum are a must and great to stumble across the Leffe Cafe, had a lovely cold and refreshing Leffe Blonde €5.50.
Breakfast was ok, continental buffet with some hot food, scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns and bacon. You cook your own fried eggs which is great, nothing worse than when their sat their under those warming lamps.
Plenty of cold meats and cheese, as well as healthier options such as yoghurts, fruits and small selection of seeds.
There’s plenty to choose from for hot drinks and there’s even a juicer to make your own fresh orange juice.
The room was compact but perfect for a 1 night stop over on our road trip. Had a twin room and whilst the beds were smaller than average, they were really comfortable and had a great night’s sleep.
The shower was heaven, strong and powerful and very welcoming. The hand and body wash along with shampoo and conditioner was brilliant, very luxurious and had a spa feel to them. My wife was pleasantly supposed for a a budget hotel.

Do not deliver the contractor
We were staying in two bedrooms during a strong heat wave that hit Europe. To our surprise, one of the rooms did not have air conditioning, making it virtually impossible to rest at night. The heat was suffocating.
When looking at the reception to resolve the problem, we were informed that there was no possibility of room change because the hotel would be fully occupied the next day. However, during our stay we had the impression that there were empty rooms, which made this justification difficult to believe.
The only "solutions" offered were to open the window or use a fan borrowed by the hotel. Opening the window meant bearing the loud noise of the street all night long and letting even more heat in. That is, none of the alternatives really solved the problem.
The situation was so uncomfortable that my husband went badly and presented a strong allergic reaction, with swelling in the eyes, aggravated by heat and the lack of an adequate night of rest.
What was most disappointing, however, was not only the lack of comfort, but the posture of the team. At no time was there genuine concern in trying to find a solution or showing empathy. The feeling was that the problem was exclusively the guest.
I did not expect luxury from an Ibis, but I expected a comfortable room and a service committed to solving an obvious problem. Unfortunately, I didn't find either. Not to mention that nothing in the offer was really fake, the parking offered was the street, the restaurant available, it was just a bar.
Dinant is a wonderful city and deserves to be visited. I only recommend that prospective guests carefully evaluate other accommodation options before choosing this hotel.
