Homemade and hearty lunch

Basic accommodation in a great location, shower is quite rudimentary but the breakfasts are excellent, homemade, and hearty (see photo) and there is also a departure gift.

UNHEALTHY! DIRTY AND SMELLY

The accommodation is a DUMP! Housed in a disgusting little house while we had booked a room, smell of tobacco and urine, ashtray not emptied, hair in the bathtub, toilet not cleaned (hairs on the seat), stained blinds, cobwebs everywhere. No hairdryer, old bottles as shower gel and shampoo, poor quality bedding.
The lunch is acceptable in terms of food, but there are no drinks (tea in a dusty cupboard and a coffee maker that has not been emptied or cleaned) and no clean utensils.
Arriving at 6:30 PM, the "room" was not ready, supposedly due to a late check-out issue, even though I had spoken to the owner on the phone an hour earlier to confirm the arrival, and he said nothing!
The parking is not associated with the hotel, so there is no guarantee of having a spot!
€112 for an unsanitary accommodation is profiting off clients who can no longer find alternatives since everything was fully booked for the Pentecost weekend! Shameful! It is pure and simple theft!

Sweet

Sweet room, lovingly furnished in a very old house, very good location in the city. The breakfast was very delicious and abundant and was brought to the room. Nice :)

Shameful

Perfect location, however cleanliness needs to be reviewed as for the bedding, um, certainly the old straw mattress of Godefroy de Bouillon recovered from the castle.

The dirtiest gîte I have seen in my life

Avoid it, we went to the Lion d’Or with my family. We had booked in advance for 4 days but only got 2. The place is in bad condition, the entire accommodation was dirty, there were spiderwebs everywhere and rats in the kitchen!! Our accommodation smelled like urine on the 2nd day so we decided to change accommodation!!! I strongly advise against it and do not understand how it is possible to rent a gîte in such a state.
