The Best and Most Luxurious

Hotel Palais Mailberger is a wonderful hotel just steps from the hustle and bustle of Vienna. As soon as you enter you are transported to a place of security and serenity.
Greeted by the front reception staff, check in was quick and efficient. A treasure trove of fresh baked pastry awaited our taste testing. Although we arrived early, we were quickly assigned a room and proceeded to deposit our luggage and explore Vienna.
Our Room #209 was spacious and welcoming. Spotlessly clean, very spacious and lovingly appointed. An anti-room held a closet and area for shoe removal. The main room contained the large luxurious king bed with fine linens, a table with 2 chairs and an assortment pf tables. By European standards, it was huge!! Storage was not an issue on our 5 night stay. The most precious accessory was the whisper quiet air conditioner and interior doors to keep the main room dark and quiet. The bathroom was nicely appointed with top notch supplies, fluffy towels and spotlessly cared for.
The breakfast offerings were the best! An A La Carte menu was offered daily as was freshly made coffee drinks and tea. I thoroughly enjoyed the cafe latte daily along with made to order omelettes, pancakes and avocado toast. The buffet had many other items such a yogourts, cheeses, fresh breads, and fruit. Something for everyone's appetites. The tables are lovingly laid with good quality dishes and fresh flowers. The inner courtyard was unavailable to dine during our stay but looked lovely. The wonderful ladies manning this zone worked tirelessly to keep the patrons happy and the area spotless. Many thanks.
Many of the receptions staff were well exceedingly helpful to the first time visitor. Always polite and we enjoyed many of their restaurant suggestions especially those outside of the main ring, closer to the MQ and Spittlesburg.
The Hotel's location was convenient to all the metro connections, the Ringstrasse (Ringstraße) and Vienna is walk-able except for the trip to Schönbrunn Palace. The hotel's amenities are delightful. We enjoyed use of the sauna with it's pleasant quiet zone within the hotel.
We encountered a few difficulties. One night the fire doors slammed close...apparently due to a fire code. As a result, patrons arriving back to the hotel or departing inadvertently slammed the heavy fire doors closed much of the night. The doors were still closed in the am and cleaning staff needed to prop them open. The following evening, an electrical code created the same fire door closure issues. The fire doors are extremely heavy and loud when slammed closed. We hope the issues that created the noise problem was resolved.
Overall, Hotel Palais Mailberger was the best hotel we stayed in during our Central Europe tour. Everything about this hotel was luxurious and well thought out. Would highly recommend staying here and would return. Kudos to all the staff who made us feel welcomed and cared for

Olena at the front desk was outstanding during my check-in and throughout my stay. Always helpful and smiling. I also wish to give a shout out to Leah, who helped me in booking and understanding my train ticket. Leah was similarly knowledgeable, helpful, and cheerful, with excellent English communication skills, and a notable memory for names, numbers, events, and conversations. The young guy who ordered a taxi for my return trip to the airport was also very helpful. I stayed at Hotel Palais Mailberger Hof two times, first for 5 days, and then for a single day after returning from Linz and prior to flying home to the USA. Both times my room was spacious, clean, and highly functional, which describes the main area, sitting area, and bathroom. The hotel has an outstanding location, within easy walking distance of Vienna's multiple world class museums and palaces, a few steps from several quality Austrian and Italian restaurant choices- and within a half mile of Indian and Asian options, a few blocks from StadtPark, 2 miles from Prater Park, which was great for long runs, and 3 miles from the Donauinsel, Vienna's most popular outdoor recreation area. Breakfast was exceptional, with a buffet offering multiple fruit, fish, vegetable, bread, pastry, and juice choices, plus hot items included from an available menu. The hotel also has a passable weight machine and a relaxing sauna. I highly welcomed the sauna for decompressing and stretching after long runs at Prater Park.

Lovely, quiet hotel in a great location.

Great location, rooms good size and very clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and pleasant and breakfast was excellent. It’s a quiet place so if you’re looking for nightlife you need to go elsewhere.
