Good solution in the center of Linz

Good solution in the center of Linz. Excellent solution for those traveling by bike with a dedicated garage and locked. Super breakfast buffet with different options both sweet and savory, good choice of fresh fruit. Good value for money.

Freshly renovated inexpensive hotel near the cathedral in Linz

Plain from the outside - freshly renovated rooms inside with every comfort right next to the cathedral within walking distance of the city center with a small, somewhat hidden underground car park (entrance behind the entrance). Great breakfast with my personal highlight: self-service smoothie maker...

ANDREAS, A RECEPTIONIST, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO REPLY TO EACH CUSTOMER WITH KIND MANNERS.

ANDREAS VIELHABER, a receptionist of kolpinghaus and stadtoase hotel is extremely lack of manners. i was very uncomfortable with his responses on my email inquiries because he was yelling at me with capital letters. do not stay there if you do not want to get such a poor and annoying service from this person.
also, marina blah blah, the manager was also unkind because she kept cutting my talk and kept insisting that male staff was friendly even though he made a big mistake when speaking.
i am very much disappointed with low quality service and would never like to waste my time for this accommodation.
plus, kolpinghaus and stadhoase hotel are mixed so you will be confused to stay there.

Still a lot to do to justify their three star rating

Cons
- Room furnishing of another decade.
- Absence of a normal bed. A sofa is provided instead of bed.
- Poor food quality at breakfast
- Smelly bed covers and pillows from the previous guest.
- Ιnnapropriate wifi internet connection. Low spead offered with very often annoying interruptions for log in and relogin.

- Employees at Reception, in the Restaurant as well as cambermaids very friendly and eager to assist.

Welcoming, friendly house, beyond standard

Stayed there for one night, due to a wedding nearbye, had to check in early, everybody was friendly, room was ready on time. Very clean, confortable rooms, furniture was a bit old, but well in shape. Came home late, there is somebody at the reception 24h, even friendly at three in the morning. Breakfast next day was great, fresh waffles, fresh pressed carott/apple juice, prosecco, bread, cake, fresh fruits, eggs, sausages, more then expected! Would definitely come back again! Thanks everybody of the team for making everybody, including bride and groom, feel so welcome!
