Nice staff & 1A top location

Everything tippi toppi! Nice staff & 1A top location. Rooms and common areas super clean, very well maintained, nothing was missing. The Wilder Kaiser right on your doorstep. Would stay here again every time.:-) 100% recommendation!

Top hostel!

Cozy, hospitable, neat hostel in a perfect location! Ski bus stop is next to the hostel. We are very satisfied and would love to come back every year! Breakfast is simple but good and there is a spacious kitchen that you can use.
The showers are wonderful!

Amazing location!

Absolutely stunning location!!!
Stayed in a 6 bed dorm & was clean & quiet.
Common area was large & plenty of room.
Walking distance to shops, cafes & bus station.
Will definitely stay here again!!! :)

Friendly hostel!

I stayed at this hostel in January 2016 for a few nignts. The purpose of our visit was Hahnenkamm-Rennen in Kitzbuehel. I travelled with my father. We are very satisfied with our time in Alpking! From the very beginning, that is booking the room in summer, the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had some problems while transferring the advance payment as we live in non-EU country, but the staff was searching the ways to solve that issue and together we succeeded:) Besides, we received all necessary confirmations which helped to get a visa, detailed instructions how to get to the hostel and even valuable pieces of advice and weblinks concerning our overall route. As for the hostel itself, it is very clean, cosy and warm. Bedlinen and towels are just perfect. Beds, showers are very comfortable. Wi-Fi is good in the rooms, but even better in the bar. Of course, it is not a very calm hostel, as there is a bar inside. Parties go on :) But it was a "hot" race period, so it is OK and everyone has fun! Breakfast is included in price. It is good, but not rich. I would like to have some fruit, sweet pastries, eggs and sausages, not just sandwiches and muesli... But in a few metres there is a supermarket where you can buy a snack. The view from windows fully compensates for a very few drawbacks. It is just amazing! Wilder Kaiser is awesome! As for the hostel location, it is very good, just a few steps from bus stops. Though there aren't many buses to and from Kitzbuehel, a few early in the morning and even less in the evening... The last bus from Kitz to Ellmau goes at about 6 p.m., so we did not have a possibility to watch prize-giving ceremonies and famous fireworks after the race. We didn't enjoy the night life of Kitz, but had to hurry for a bus. I understand that it is not a fault of the hostel, but you should take that bus schedule into account while planning your rest... In general, I liked this hostel very much, especially because of its pleasant staff, cleaness and beautiful landscapes! It has adequate prices and is worth the money. I will for sure recommend it to my friends and hope to stay at it next year! Thank you for the excellent service! Cheers! :) Khrystyna

New Year visit

Clean, inexpensive, friendly - what more do you need? A trip over New Year in a shared room was fantastic. The hostel is next to a skibus stop and very reasonable pizza restaurant as well as being across the road from the local ski school. The family-run hostel is well worth a visit. Be aware that it is no-frills but 'no-frills' does not mean dirty and horrible. I am seriously considering taking whole family in future, certainly something I do not take lightly. Anyway, give it a visit if you want an affordable, clean and comfy.
