Cosy, family-run and centrally located in Dornbirn.

Cozy, small and family-run with about 10 rooms. Quiet area, walking road to the center. Small, but nice breakfast room where they served fresh bits, eggs, vegetables, fruits and div. other orders. Flexible with room consideration when we needed 4 beds and got 1 triple room and 1 double room without extra charge for unused bed.

Price Performance not reasonable

The family-run hotel is nice and was reasonable for us due to the location between Messequartier and Bahnhof for one night, but the price was not entirely justified. For two nights, I'd look for something else.
Room mini, well we could have lived with it, but no blackout curtains although directly the street light shines brightly in.
Breakfast so lala. Canned fruit salad and cakes and bread had to be requested at 08:45 as everything was already empty. Also, the breakfast room was very small and rather cool. For the man who likes only strawberry jam, it was hard, but well, it's his own fault.

Very pleasant stay!

Our double room was spacious, bright, friendly and equipped with good beds. Breakfast great - with very good gluten-free rolls and bread on request. Staff extremely friendly. A parking space was also available.

Never going back.

I arrived in Dornbirn at 7pm exactly as I had informed the hotel I would. There was, however, no one at reception. Instead I found a folded up piece of paper with a key inside. Written in very large printed letters on the front of the paper was my name (Ms ...), my room number and that it was a single room. In other words, everyone in the hotel and anyone else who might have come by knew that a woman was staying alone in room XX. Didn't exactly give me a feeling of security.
The room was small and felt a bit claustraphobic. Given that I am only 5'3, that is saying something. The bathroom was even a tighter fit. What worse, something, either the soap or an "air freshener," was so strong that I couldn't stand to be in the bathroom for more than a second. I skipped a shower because of that. It was bearable in the morning because I had left the ventilator running the whole night.
On the plus side, the room and the bathroom were clean. That is about all I can say. Breakfast consisted of a tiny buffet of sliced bread, some jam, deli meat slices, 2 kinds of budget cereals, canned fruit salad, and cheap tea/coffee. I passed on the breakfast and I shall certainly pass on this hotel the next time I have to go to Dornbirn on business.

Hotelier Hr. Spiegel hält Vereinbarung nicht ein und wirft mich aus dem Hotel.

Ich habe im Hotel Andreas Hofer in Dornbirn ein Zimmer gebucht. Da ich wusste, dass ich erst um ca. 23 Uhr ankommen werde, habe ich mit dem Hotelbesitzer Andreas Spiegel telefoniert, und er hat zugesagt, den Schlüssel im Schlüsselsafe zu deponieren. Den Code zum Safe hat er mir geschickt. Er meinte die Rezeption sei bis 23 Uhr besetzt, wenn ich später käme, rechnen wir in der früh ab. Bei meiner Ankunft habe ich den Schlüsselsafe öffnen können, aber es war kein Schlüssel darin. Zum Glück hat mir ein Gast die Haupttüre geöffnet und der Schlüssel lag in einem Briefumschlag mit meinem Namen am Empfang. Ich habe ihn genommen und wollte auf's Zimmer, da stürzt Herr Spiegel aus seiner Wohnung im 1. Stock, schimpft mich, dass ich nicht vor 23 Uhr gekommen bin und wirft mich aus dem Hotel. Ich habe dann im Auto übernachtet. So etwas ist mir im ganzen Leben noch nie passiert. Thilo Arlt, Lengnau BE, Schweiz.
