Good: quiet air conditioner, refurbished room, quiet, easy parking, big mirror in bathroom, great lighting options, spacious room, great price.
Bad: Shower head fitting broken - had to hold hose with hand while showering, street area surrounding Motel was ugly, sink was too small, no shower door nor curtain - water goes all over the bathroom when showering, mattress too hard.

Clean, budget-friendly motel. Fantastic location with adjacent restaurant and bar.
We stayed at the El Toro Motel while visiting a famiy member in Liverpool Hospital. Overall we are happy with the the location of the motel so close to the Westfield shopping center and within walking distance of the hospital.
The room was quite adequate with clean and very comfortable beds and pillows. The cleaning, reception, bar and restaurant staff were excellent. In-room lighting and air conditioning were fine
While we were expecting a dedicated kitchenette area, we found it acceptable for a short stay. We requested and were given a microwave which came in handy. Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar was provided daily by the efficient cleaning staff.
The adjacent restaurant, bar and games room were clean and pleasant. 5 stars for the daily specials @ $ 20 main course.
We were pleasantly surprised to discover that there is a very modern Factory outlet with eateries about 450 metres down the road. I feel the motel should advertise this vast premier outlet nearby. as a plus.
We are overall happy we found this affordable and friendly place for our short stay.

Never again.
Liked · Old, but good aircon. Cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked · Did not know that all Q rooms are upstairs. I would not have booked there. Having an injured knee made it very difficult to get all my things upstairs and then down again next day.
Only 1 quilt on the bed which was not enough in winter. No blankets, no electric blanket, so it was very cold. Pillows were very soft and unusable.
Room 16 has a broken shower - it is hand-held only, with the only place to put it across the taps, nowhere to hang it up.
No rugs or carpet. No heater in bathroom. Bathroom window wouldn't open.
Exterior - run down, peeling paint, rust, dirty concrete, tar turning to gravel in the car park. Bird droppings everywhere. The photos online are either very old or have been doctored.
Very noisy place, shouting late at night, and in the middle of the night. Rooms are above the hotel carpark.

Affordable but poor quality
I understand this is affordable accomodation however some very basics were not even there. The blind didn’t open so it was very dark during the day and you had to have the light on. Only 1 out of 4 lamps worked. No side tables next to the bed. The tv stopped working, asked for it to be fixed once (staff were nice though) but then happened again so we had no tv during our 4 day visit. No freezer in mini fridge. No shelf in shower. No vanity bench space. Bamboo flooring and not carpet. Holes in wall. Not enough parking space for the amount of rooms. The emergency light stays on all night outside room and are incredibly bright, no blockout blinds so light streaming in all night. No sound proofing, can hear every conversation walking past at every hour. Garbage bins were emptied at 4am Monday morning and were incredibly loud. No iron in room and asked to borrow one but it was barely hot.

Hidden Gem
Very happy with the staff , location quality of accommodation and price. The rooms were excellent . The food venues practically onsite and close by were great, the boys were satisfied and really pleased with the bang for your buck meals.
Would definitely return if we needed to.
