Love this hotel so much

I’ve stayed at The Strand twice now and absolutely love it. It definitely won’t be my last stay!
The beds are incredibly comfortable and, even though I’ve only stayed in an internal room, it was wonderfully quiet and perfect for a great night’s sleep. The location is fantastic, the staff are genuinely lovely and there is something to enjoy from morning to night without even leaving the hotel.
The food menus in both the public bar and on the rooftop look excellent, and the $10 Guinness pints every day are a brilliant bonus. The rooftop is such a great spot for drinks, food and views across the city.
What really sets The Strand apart is the attention to detail. The artwork, interiors and overall vibe are so beautifully considered. I also love the added extras, including the Hidden Library and vinyl listening room. They give the hotel so much personality and make a stay feel genuinely special.
A huge shout-out to Luke and Luna, who both went above and beyond and made my stay even better. Fantastic people and exceptional service.
Such a great boutique hotel in the heart of Darlinghurst. Stylish, comfortable, welcoming and full of character. I’ll absolutely be back! ✦

Good location, questionable hotel

Location was good, within 15-20 min walk from some main attractions like the Westfield Tower, Cathedral, Botanical Gardens, and Sydney Quay.
The hotel itself is on a low side, however. Tiny smelly rooms, worn down, questionable cleanliness.
The only area that we enjoyed was the Library - a small but cozy area used to serve very limited breakfast.

The stay was amazing, the staff were really helpful, friendly and accommodating. Ideally located in a central area but still quiet enough on an evening to get a good nights sleep in a comfy bed.

The staff were attentive and helpful. Clean and comfy room. Close to many tourist spots. Only issue is carrying suitcase up stairs but employee helped me out. I recommend this hotel. Good value for the money.

No elevator! There is no available receptionist for assistance. You have to ring a bell and hope they can hear you. I don’t have any help carrying our luggage to the 3rd floor.
