RSL across the road made it handy for a Monday night dinner when all the other restaurants/pubs were closed

Not so great

Booked this motel as thought it had bigger rooms than others in town…but what a shock to walk in and find stained carpets, skirting boards with paint flaking off, dated dark furnishings and basic bathroom. Entrance Door had to be pushed so lock would actually engage and no locking mechanism on bathroom windows so not really a secure room. There was a microwave and toaster but no crockery or cutlery except two teaspoons and two mugs. Lucky we travel with our own.
We have stayed in lots of motels in country towns throughout NSW and Qld and this one really needs all round upgrading.
The owner really needs to address these maintenance issues rather than leaving the young girl in reception to deal with the issues and complaints.
Would not stay here again.

Stains on carpet

The carpet had stains throughout and I didn't feel comfortable. My partner booked this motel while I was on the road and didn't read reviews from previous guests about the carpet plus management obviously don't take reviews seriously. Wont be back to this motel

Parking was easy but this motel needs some serious work done. I stayed here with my partner and this place is disgusting. Actually it should be closed down. The mould and filth is disgusting.

Comfort Undermined by Lack of Safety and Support

While there were some positives, our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by safety and management concerns.
There was no after-hours onsite manager, and the phone number provided in the room compendium did not connect, which became a serious issue when a drunken dispute broke out in the car park and we were required to contact police.
Later in the evening, people were knocking on our door around midnight attempting to access our room, which was quite distressing.
The carpets in the room felt dirty and were visibly stained, although the beds themselves were comfortable. The bathroom and kitchenette were clean and tidy, and the reception staff at check-in were kind and welcoming.
Due to the lack of security and after-hours support, we would be hesitant to stay again
