Conveniently located hotel

If you're looking for a conveniently located hotel where you won't be spending much time in your room, this is the perfect choice. The staff were all incredibly friendly. I stayed in a King premium room (3305) for three nights and received a warm welcome from Marsha at check-in. The hotel entrance has a delightful scent that adds to the experience.
The location is ideal for public transport, with trams right outside on Collins Street and Southern Cross Train Station diagonally across from the hotel. The room was comfortable and minimal. I slept surprisingly well, which is often a challenge for me in hotels. The only minor issue was a slight smell from the bathroom drain, but it didn't detract from my stay. Overall, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Disapointing Accor Hotel Business Stay

Great location opposite the station, but that’s where the positives end.
The hotel is very dated, and access is awkward—stairs up to reception, then down again to reach the lift, which is a nightmare with luggage. Rooms lack basic amenities for longer stays.
Dining options are limited (no meals Sun/Mon, no proper breakfast except smorgasbord ($35 per person) or room service), and they couldn’t cater for dietary needs. Customer service was poor—staff refused to make a coffee at 6:58am, telling us to come back at 7:00am while standing idle.
Definitely not 4-star standard. Expensive for what you get, with extra charges (even $10 to use the washing machine that broke down). Would not stay again.

I am pleased to note that you found our location to be convenient, situated directly opposite the station. However, I regret to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations. I would like to address several of the issues you mentioned.
Firstly, I understand your concerns about the direction of the reception area towards the mezzanine level. Our hotel layout can indeed present challenges for guests with significant luggage, and I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the management team for consideration in future enhancements.
Regarding the dining options, our hotel policy does offer a limited dining service on Sundays and Mondays, which can sometimes restrict availability of certain meals. We strive to accommodate dietary needs, and it is disappointing to hear that we fell short in this instance. I will address this feedback with our culinary team to ensure that we can better serve all guests in the future.
I also regret to hear about your experience with our staff regarding the coffee service. Providing exceptional customer service is a priority for us, and your comments will be addressed in our training sessions to prevent such occurrences from happening again.

My window wouldn’t close property and the icy wind was blowing in. This was around 8pm so They couldn’t fix the window straight away as maintenance had all finished for the day, so they moved me to another room.

Perfect!

Such a great place. Location is perfect - across the road from Southern Cross station and corner of Collins st. A lovely old style hotel with courteous and friendly staff. Room was huge - booked a room and allcoated a small apartment. So happy. Clean and convenient. We ate in the dining room too, which was great. Again, attentive and friendly staff, reasonable prices and good food.

Worth the mo ey and close to everything

Very central to everything. Amazingly comfy bed. Reasonably priced. Parking all be it tight very convenient.
