Good vibes, Clean, Awesome Location

Wow what a great place to stay and experience! Palms on Parker offered my sister and I a very comfortable, clean place to stay for a few months! Good vibes, super friendly staff, awesome location, fun events held highly recommend !!

Nice, but its mostly a residence for foreign workers

Is it nice? Sure. But as is often the case in Oz, this is a migrant worker dormitory pretending to be a hostel. Almost all of the guests are young Europeans on the Australian work visa program staying there for months. Socially, this means it sucks to stay there as a nomad/backpacker/traveler, because you’re the new kid who’s not staying long.
Look, is the place nice? Sure. Decent rooms, nice lounge upstairs, good kitchen, cool outdoor lounge, and great little pool. Great location too, but it’s not a hostel full of interesting, curious adventurers. It’s a workers' dormitory. You even receive emails about job opportunities when you stay there. That's weird.
Side note: Because there are so few arrivals, there’s rarely staff present. If you show up after 5pm, there’s no way to check in, so they force you to do that obnoxious online check-in thing where you take photos of your passport, selfies of your face, endless forms to fill out. It sucks. Newsflash to management: Everyone hates that. Stop doing it. I don’t know when having a human to greet guests became optional, but it’s cold and rude to automate it.

Awesome time with great people and very clean

This place was in the best location O my a minute from the beach and two minutes from the shops whilst still being quiet and laid back , the staff are super helpful and always around to answer my questions and a good laugh

Absolutely loved my stay

The best hostel on the east coast by far! It has a family vibe and I felt at home straight away. The staff were all so lovely, it has everything you need and always spotlessly clean. Such good value compared to other hostels in the area, would 100% stay again
