We paid extra for the king room
The view was so relaxing and we were fortunate enough to have a great sunrise next morning
The bed and linens were so comfortable we wish we were staying longer than 1 night
The shower was very nice however I in particular was worried about the water going everywhere as it didn’t have any screens
Also the kettle coffee and toaster machines were in the same area at the other end of the bathroom which wasn’t the best place and felt a little odd
However we would definitely stay again and Alison was very helpful we our on onward journey

Beautiful views, but some updates needed
The views overlooking the water were absolutely stunning, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay.
Alison, the owner, was very welcoming and accommodating, which added a lovely personal touch to our experience.
There are, however, a few points future guests may wish to be aware of. The property does not have a lift, and access to the penthouse is via two sets of stairs, which may present a challenge for some visitors.
Additionally, caution is advised in the bathroom, as the toilet and shower share the same area, and the floor can become quite slippery when wet. I unfortunately had a fall and injured my knee, so I would encourage the owners to consider safety improvements in this area which I did raise to Alison on our departure.
The kitchen, while functional, is a little dated, and some utensils (such as tongs and knives) could use updating or replacement. Given the premium cost of the accommodation, these small details would make a noticeable difference to the overall experience.
The property’s central location in Batemans Bay is very convenient for accessing local shops, cafes, and restaurants. However, being in the heart of town also means there is a noticeable amount of traffic noise, which could be an issue for those seeking a quieter stay.
Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable experience, but given the higher price point, a few updates and improvements would really elevate this property for future guests.
