Côte d'Azur Sevan

Breaking out of stuffy Yerevan found themselves in this beautiful and secluded place. Friendly and welcoming staff, well maintained area with playgrounds and gazebos. There is a swimming pool with sun loungers and a lakeside beach. Beautiful views. In the morning, delicious and rich breakfasts (included in the accommodation) can be served in the same restaurant for lunch and dinner, preparing excellence. There's local trout-Ishhan and sig. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, even the kitchen The weather of these parts is variable, but don't worry, behind the rain will definitely be the sun.

Wonderful experience @ Lake Sevan

We stayed on the 5th floor 5/2 apartment. Fabulous and unobstructed views of the lake from our TWIN balconies.
Apartment was neat and clean and GOR (the receptionist) was always ready to cure any niggles that would crop up (like adjusting the geyser temperature)
We were skeptical of the compound restaurant but the place was extremely cosy with a live bonfire INSIDE.....food was reasonable (better restaurants like Bohem Tea house in Sevan city center)
All in all - ticked all the boxes and made our stay memorable

Not recommended - unprofessional

I have been travelling to Sevan with couple of tour operators and a group of women from Russia and Armenia showing them the local attractions. We decided to stop in Tsovasar to see the premises, to have a cup of coffee and to talk to the GM about future cooperation. I have been to the place several times and never had any problem entering the facilities for a cup of coffee or lunch. This time the security guide didn't let us in and called someone else who was constantly on the phone and treating us like trespassers. Very disappointing since I was considering spending a week there in August. I am not very happy with the premises, but it has a great view so I was also trying to promote the space.
At any hotel, even of the entrance is prohibited, there is a responsible person who can take you to a tour.
Anyway, The hotel lost potential local visitors, Russian tour operators.
For a developing country like Armenia this is an unacceptable behavior.

It’s great for a family vacation.

It is a very beautiful hotel, the room was big and comfort with a small balcony and great view. The room has a mini kitchen and you can cook. The breakfast was not very good just an egg and a sausage with some cheese and butter, and it was not buffet. The restaurant closes at 22:00 and we couldn’t have dinner also they didn’t let us barbecue after 10. Kitchen staffs were very kind and nice specially Xachik and he was the only one who could speak English the rest of hotel staff couldn’t speak English at all. The hotel manager was not so nice and respectful. Also they charged us for returning to Yerevan twice amount as we paid to go there. And they took commission from the taxi driver. And you have to be careful about the doors and windows at night cause there are thousands of mosquitoes and insects waiting to enter to the room.
They let us to check in at 1 and after we checked out they let us use the pool and facilities, it was so kind of them.

Not recommended

The place itself is great - close to the lake.
Rooms are not clean, kitchen amenities are dirty, there is no hairdrier. The bathroom is not clean, there are dead insects in rooms and bathroom. You cannot have any guests here, NOT ALLOWED.
It is only breakfast included in the price, which is very poor - some mushed potatoes, egg and a small peace of cheese and butter, tea without lemon.
I would never come back to this place. I am nor recommending this rest complex.
