Family-run hotel instead of Streamline
The hotel is still family-run and in the best sense “old-fashioned”; no super screen in the room, no breakfast buffet. Not for friends:in anonymous modern uniformity. But it has everything it needs and much more: People who sit day and night at the reception and help you with a wink, who serve very good breakfast at the table, who clean unusually carefully. Who care.
The restaurant is also very good.

Poor service and poor value for money
We were there with 14 people. The staff unfriendly that food overpriced and the crowning glory was the announcement that there is only one entire bill. This has clouded the mood and everyone has had to calculate everything for themselves. That's the last time we'll visit this restaurant.

The hotel is centrally located.
A nice old town hotel in itself. Staff at reception and bar are very friendly. The rooms, however, leave much to be desired. This does not refer to simple equipment. Sometimes more is just less the bathroom is freshly renovated and you come to the corresponding floor with a nostalgic-looking lift. However, the cleanliness of the room leaves much to be desired. This also applies to the roommates in the bathroom. There seems to be something wrong with the drains either. After activating the toilet flush, it clattered in the shower and a drain odor spreads from it in the bathroom over the duration of the complete stay. I'm afraid not bearable. I'm not coming back, I'm sure.

As a regular, I am appalled by the poor quality of the hotel
As a regular, I am appalled by the poor quality of the hotel. On our arrival we were not greeted, but the first question was: "Do you want the room cleaned tomorrow?". Our room and probably all other rooms have not been renovated for decades. The bathroom was quite new, however, a roll for the toilet paper was missing and in the shower there was no shelf. The hotel's (inferior) shampoo kept falling on the floor. An outrage was the following event: Although we had booked a table in the in-house restaurant, nothing was left. As hotel guests (!) we had to find another restaurant, without any help. This has never happened to us before. The next morning, there was no apology, no conversation about it. How can you be so unkind to your own hotel guests? The hotel has lost us as regulars forever. P.S. The breakfast used to be very good, but this has also changed for the worse. At this hotel, everything loving and welcoming is blown away.

Brilliantly central!
The Hotel Feldmann is “geniusly central” in the city centre. It impresses from the outside with its charm known for Münster. The restaurant is tasteful, not pompous, just beautiful!
To the hotel: My room (No. 40) was as clean as it was simply furnished! At the time of the room cleaning I could take a look at other rooms, since I would have liked to swap (perhaps mine had not yet been renovated?). Conclusion room: Ageing, m. E. a bit loveless but OK to stay (beds very comfortable).
I was disappointed by the breakfast after reading very good reviews here. Of course, many things are a matter of taste, such as the café, which was too bitter for me, but “TK buns” in the middle of a wonderful city with lots of fresh baked goods, are incomprehensible to me. For the fact that there is no buffet, the selection is still perfectly OK. The friendly and prudent lady in service I want to highlight! However, I think the breakfast lacks sophistication.
There is one more thing I want to say and maybe it also moves: The first day I had a bottle of water in the room. On the second day, only the glasses. After a great day in Münster I would have been happy about a water in the room. Is it really a question of money? How much does a bottle of water cost to buy? In my opinion, much less than the external effect on the guest.
Bottom line: The Hotel Feldmann is a beautiful, traditional house and I would love to come back. The atmosphere is very pleasant and next time I will take another room (but I could have asked). The location is very central to Clemenskirche and surrounding there is ample parking. And on my next visit I also want to dine in the restaurant, which is praised from all sides and spreads a very cozy impression with Münster charm.
