At the price point, it would be hard to do much better. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and super quiet, the courtyard breakfast was lovely, and the location was (for us) perfect: Close to Old Town without being too close. If you want a peaceful space that is central to most of what you'd want to do in Munich, this hotel is a great fit.

I just wanted a clean room with AC and was met with a wonderful stay in a beautiful small hotel. I had the best sleep after a crazy travel adventure. The hotel opens up to a secret garden that had to be enjoyed. Loved my whole experience.

So much potential...unmet

I REALLY wanted to say nice things about this sweet little hotel because it has such a nice vibe and the lady who greeted us (petite, dark haired older lady) was utterly delightful and SO helpful.
But...
* No fridge, no tea/coffee facilities in the room (they did bring us a jug and mugs immediately which was good - we'd brought our own teabags);
* Ancient TV;
* Tiny, threadbare towels;
* dreadful pillows (only one very soft one each and a cushion)
* Small, oddly laid out bathroom and you needed to be a contortionist to use the shower;
* Very hit and miss room servicing - one day only the beds were made (no cleaning of bathroom or clearing of used mugs/glasses) - another day the towels were changed but literally nothing else in the room or bathroom was cleaned, bins not emptied, beds not made... really weird;
* Breakfast not available until 7.30am - not very practical if you have an early tour or departure
* Breakfast offering very limited in terms of hot options - literally just boiled eggs, and no toaster - very odd.
* No restaurant but plenty of options close by.
* BUT friendly staff and a GREAT location.
* Quiet area
* All fixable concerns but overall, we were disappointed.

Great Hotel for Value and Hospitality in Munich

The hotel was a short 13 minute walk to Old Town Munich and was in a quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was included and had a variety of meats, cheese, fruit, bread, and soft or hard boiled eggs. Book the room with a balcony for the full view of the garden and a pleasant place to sit in the evening. The only slightly downside is the parking garage, which the hotel partners with for a small added fee. It is not open 24 hours, so you need to know the opening and closing time for your plans. Otherwise, Hotel Admiral was a terrific place to stay while in Munich

The location was excellent, the courtyard was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were good. I would have like to have a coffee maker in my room or coffee in the hotel outside of breakfast hours. We had to leave early to catch our flight before breakfast. The person at the front desk was extremely helpful
