Would stay here again!

Excellent location. Pick up point for most tours. City sightseeing buses start from here. Public transport is right in front. Railway station, shops, restaurants all nearby. Comfy rooms. Very clean. Check in and check out was unique for me. No human contact! Computer does the work but incase of a problem, a button helps to contact the staff. No breakfast but at 7 am a selection of croissant etc is kept for the guests to take. Rooms have coffee maker so that's a big plus for me.
Noise level..as my room was facing the road, it is expected and I had no problem with it.

hotel in Karlsplatz

hotel in Karlsplatz, excellent location (in front of the hotel there is a metro stop, and the historic center is a 5-minute walk away). Self check-in, there is no staff, except at certain times; everything went well for us, but if we had had problems, I don't know. Small but functional room, very comfortable beds; small bathroom, with an internal door that closes off the part with the toilet (actually an inconvenient door); shower with a large showerhead, very comfortable. Acceptable cleanliness. In the morning there are snacks, but I think they run out immediately (we went at 7, but from the speed with which they were being taken, I think they don't last long..). In the room, there are tea and coffee capsules. Young clientele. It is fine for short stays.

Terrible hotel from every point of view.

Chilling, terrible experience from every point of view: the reception does not exist, there is no staff, the rooms are tiny like prison cells.
Ours was a triple room on the sixth floor, consisting of two rooms, the main one of which was windowless (without windows) with a double bed, while the other, with a sofa bed with a very uncomfortable two-cm mattress unworthy of the name (stuff you wouldn't even find in shelters), had a window (overlooking a very ugly internal courtyard) without shutters but with half-broken blinds.
I called the emergency phone number to point out the problem (as mentioned, the hotel has no staff on-site), they sent a technician who told me very curtly that he couldn't do anything about it, so at 5:30 in the morning the room was full of light.
Furthermore, no nightstands, no lamps, no chairs, no closets, NOTHING, and only one switch to control the lights in both rooms, so either everyone has the lights on or everyone is in the dark.
The only positive note is the proximity to the center.
Breakfast only on paper but in reality non-existent.
Perhaps the worst hotel I have ever been to in my life.
HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED, STAY AWAY!!!!!

Overall, my family and I had a great stay at Hotel Buddy and I would recommend it. The location is amazing, the room was clean, awesome air condition, great blackout curtains, and prices were very affordable.
Things we didn’t love: the reception was closed when we arrived, and we thought everything was self service. We parked our car, and we were totally confused on the process to get out of the garage. The shower is open to the hallway, so a little bit difficult when traveling with multiple people (but we figured it out).
Again, overall we would recommend staying here.

Hotel located between Karlplatz and Marienplatz which is the tourist hub.
Grayline excursion and Hop and Hop off buses you can catch right in front of the hotel.
The room was clean, AC worked, no fridge in the room.
During nights lots of homeless people hang front of the building, it was noizy.
Hotel itself is very different from ordinary hotels I used to stay in Canada or USA. In the same building, 6 stories, doctors office, physio and hotel rooms. I was not even sure if it was the right place initially.
It was confusing how to get inside of the building because the front door is always locked and i needed the fob to get in. The self check in machine located inside on main floor. I was lucky that some guests were exiting and I could get inside. The self check in machine located in the main hallway and on 2 floor, the machine was freezing and I had to call many times the guy to help me.
In conclusion, I would stay in a different hotel next time.
