Very Convenient to all things!
We loved it here. A family run old style hotel. Many steps depending on your room so choose wisely if mobility problems as there isn’t a lift in the building.
Rooms are lovely and clean, showers are small, no tea making facilities, but body and hair cleansers. No air con but lovely big opening windows, heating is available. Street front is a main road so noisy if that is a problem ask!
Breakfast is worth paying the extra. Beautifully presented variety which varies and would suit all tastes……..just lovely!
Taxi stand is just 20 metres around the corner from the front door and costs about 30 euro to airport.
Botanical gardens easy level walk.
A variety of Bars and restaurants commence from 20m away. Supermarket and fruit and veggie easy walk. Various variety shops.
Would highly recommend staying here if visiting Hamburg and want to be out of the city but just a stone throw away.

Basic hotel, reasonable price
Room was clean, although exhaust fans for bathroom would be a great addition.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful - ordered us a taxi for a 4 am departure; reduced the price of our last night because we were not able to enjoy the breakfast

Avoid the single room! Tiny rooms, bad wifi, noisy street, breakfast
What I got instead was not even close to what is displayed on the images. I was given a fairly clean, but cold and dark tiny room in the basement. It even smelt a bit like a cellar. The furniture is very old, run-down and the desk almost a little gross as the surface (fake leather?) was crumbling away. That did not matter much as the wifi connection was terrible, so leave your laptop at home if you are planning to get some work done. The mattress was the hardest I have ever slept on an the bed frame is too high and small as I constantly felt as if I was not able to stretch out properly at night. The walls are made of cardboard so I needed my earplugs. At least the room was not facing the very busy street but I needed my plugs anyway due to the noise in the early morning coming from the kitchen and/or breakfast room as well as other guests.
The breakfast was OK. No more, no less. The breakfast room is nice and the staff incredibly friendly. However, I would not come again and would also not reccomend it to any of my friends or colleagues.

Ok Hotel
nice area in Hamburg.
Very attentive and polite staff.
Excellent brekfast.
However too extensive with Visa card. 90 Euro per night incl brekfast is too much for the very basic standard. But for a short stay and better price it is ok despite the standard.
