This 4-star superior hotel in Grainau is beside the Eibsee lake, directly at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain. It offers free Wi-Fi, a modern spa and many recreational opportunities.

Immediately again!!!
It was great. Arrived on Saturday, for a midday snack, there were always freshly made Kaiserschmarrn. Very good.
The sauna was not crowded, and the Kelosauna, with a large panoramic window, overlooking the Eibsee, is great. Then jump directly into the lake (at 0 degrees), a dream.
Dinner very fine, service great, the drinks, wines and cocktails that are in the Luxery all in, top.
Great breakfast. It is worth a late checkout for a not too high surcharge. Stay in the room until 6pm, lunch snack plus drinks all in.
All around it felt like 2 days vacation far from home. (although we come from Garmisch-Partenkirchen)
We will come back!

A holiday in winter wonderland
From the big city to nature!
My girlfriend had recommended the Eibsee hotel directly on the Eibsee. I inquired and saw a beautiful winter wonderland. And booked me for a full weekend.
My arrival was very exhausting and tedious. Since the public transport left a lot to be desired. First I was late by train. And then the bus was crowded. Should such a holiday begin?
Well, the hotel can't/couldn't help it. I really don't.
So I arrived at the hotel. What greeted me was a metal gate. I first looked at how I got to the property. And just rang cheekily. A nice lady then opened the gate for me by remote control and I entered my winter holiday paradise. I went into the hotel. And went straight to reception. A young lady greeted me warmly and asked me what my journey was like. I told her I was quite tired and broken. She explained everything to me calmly. Explained to me where I could have dinner, where breakfast took place, where the wellness area was and even that there will be an afternoon snack today. She was a dual student as far as I could remember. She was very polite and accommodating. And was able to respond very well to my inquiries.
Arrived in my room. I saw the hotel room that had unfortunately come of age. Furniture once carved by a grandfather stood here. A coffee machine. Who was simply unkindly placed on a table. But the bathroom was fresh and apparently new!
On the way to the afternoon snack I was greeted by the boy lady who checked me in.
Afternoon snacks included cake, salad, bread and soups. Perfect for warming up once. And after such a long journey, something to eat.
The service staff was very helpful... but was very surprised that I didn't tip him.
The dinner buffet was rich, meat was freshly prepared before my eyes. The cooks were cleanly dressed and was very nice and friendly.
The next morning I was very much looking forward to the breakfast buffet. It was very rich in cereals, rolls and bread, juices as well as egg dishes and cold cuts. The service team was very friendly and accommodating and also very attentive!
The Young Lady from the day before was there at checkout. She asked if everything was okay. And said goodbye warmly.
The entire kitchen team, service team and the Young Lady from the reception are a great bright spot for this company! You should not rest on it just because you own a lake that everything runs smoothly! Unfortunately, you noticed in many places that there is obviously a lack of staff here! What you could clearly feel and put that on the back of the employees!
I'll think about when I'll be back. Because only when the rooms are properly renovated and the staff is properly increased. Worth a new trip to the eibsee! (Yes, I know the skills shortage myself. I am the same restaurateur
But I know how to keep staff!)

It doesn't get any better
Service perfect. Very friendly staff. I always felt like my wishes were being fulfilled.
The hotel is very nice and of course the ambience not to forget.

Pure relaxation
Wonderful, spontaneous getaway, booked on Thursdays and arrived on Fridays after work. It was as always very relaxing from the first moment. Very friendly and warm atmosphere, super delicious food, comfortable beds and a magical view of the Eibsee and the mountains.
