Excellent Value Base For Local Tourism

I stayed solo for 2 nights in June.
Relatively easily found in a light commercial/residential/college area. Easy/plenty of parking. A quiet location.
Friendly reception lady with limited English versus my non existent German - worked perfectly - thank you.
Small single room up to the normal high German gasthaus standard in terms of size, cleanliness, comfort and fittings. Cool despite temperatures in the high 20’s and no aircon. Excellent shower.
The breakfast had plenty of choice of the German ‘standards’ and was of good quality.
The adjacent restaurant, popular with locals, offered good ‘standard’ fare at reasonable prices and friendly service.
An ideal ‘out of town’ location to use as a touring base without using the car (Zeppelin museum - lake steamer etc). The reception lady (owner?) kindly provided information for the bus service into town - the stop being a 5 min max walk from the Gasthaus.
Excellent value.

Local hotel, friendly owner

We stayed here at last minute. Near airport. Owner welcomed us and showed us around. Very nice! Rooms are fine for low cost hotel, shower a little tight, bar and restaurant good food and service, beds clean and firm! You will hear aircraft taking off and landing during Day!

A friendly place to call home

We stayed here in 2013 and Heuschober was our hotel of choice for a return visit to Friedrichshafen (May 2017). Tidy, warm and spacious bedrooms with a view of the garden. Close to the bus line and only a five minute walk to the Zeppelin Hanger.
Given the miserable weather, the host was kind enough to let me stay in our room long after I'd paid and officially checked out. This was GREATLY appreciated!
Breakfast is typically German and the restaurant is Italian style food.

A great little hotel

We came by this, last year, for a quick stay from the airport. It was so charming that we did a seven night stay this time for our holiday as Friedrichshafen is such a wonderful place to visit. A family run hotel, with a superb Italian restaurant attached (see separated report), is a delight. Just on the leafy side of a small airport, ten mintues on a bus to Lake Constance, beautifully appointed rooms all on ground floor with spotless bathrooms and the front ones with their own patio. The family and their staff could not be nicer. The breakfast is a typical German fruhstuck with everything gleamingly fresh. The surroundings are wonderful. The Zeppelins fly overhead, and apart from two early mornings flights when you here the aeroplanes, it is small and pretty quiet. There is nowhere near the airport as pretty and appealing as this. It is a bit of the countryside at your own convenience. Great for families, for business people who want a good rest and food and not a chain hotel with its impersonality and prices. We shall return again!.

Ausgezeichnet

Wir waren 5 Personen und alle waren begeistert von den Speisen. Alle bestellten etwas anderes. Die Räume waren sauber und angenehm. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. wir freuen uns auf das Hotel.
