Truly princely ambience

Fantastic and quiet location, very stylishly designed, excellent and personal service, located directly at the castle with beautiful park, with great attention to detail, extremely delicious breakfast, which left none of our wishes unfulfilled,

Regrettable.

When we arrived at the venue at 1:00 PM, there were several free tables, but they still had dishes on them. Nevertheless, we had to wait for 15 minutes at a kind of belt like at the airport before we could make eye contact with a server. So we stood in the sun for 15 minutes and were glad when we were accompanied to a tidy table. Within a few minutes, the order was taken, and the drinks arrived very quickly. Unfortunately, the tables were not wiped down, and they were quite dirty. The chairs and the entire terrace also looked unkempt. The legs of the chairs are so dirty that they stain your pants. See photo. The couple directly behind us had to wait 30 minutes because the tables were free but not cleared yet, now for food. We had the herring with fried potatoes and once the schnitzel with lukewarm potato cucumber salad. To our disappointment, both were convenience food. The food was on the table within 5 minutes. Of course, we did not expect gourmet cuisine for €18 for a schnitzel, but at least a real piece of meat that was breaded in the kitchen. However, the offered schnitzels are ready-made products, as is the potato salad. We had expected more from the visit. The quality corresponds to that of a solid bistro, as is often common at train stations and airports. One can get full for a low price, but not much more. We will not visit this establishment again. Perhaps it would be helpful if waiting guests were at least signaled that they have been seen and informed that a table will soon be available for them.

Unfortunately, I wasn't quite satisfied this time because the noodles with mushrooms
( only ordinary mushrooms) were rather boring and too expensive for that.
The excellent sundae partly compensated me again, although of course there is also a proud price.

Idyllic accommodation near Cottbus

The Cavalierhaus Branitz is about 5 km from Cottbus and is located in a beautiful park right next to Branitz Castle. Getting there and finding keys is slightly adventurous, but the detailed description is included with the Booking Referral. There are a lot of visitors in the park during the day, but it is idyllic quiet everywhere, during the day and also at night.
Our room was quite extravagantly decorated but everything is very cozy and clean. The bathroom was very large. We were the only guests in the house that day, so the next day a breakfast table was set just for us in the small but fine restaurant, beautifully and lovingly prepared with a very delicious breakfast. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open that evening. Many thanks also to the very friendly staff.

Viel Hand- und Kunstwerk! Geschmack nicht immer überzeugend

Die Bisque leider viel zu kräftig für den perfekt gegarten Hummerschwanz.
Das Onglet brauche ich nicht noch einmal - ebenso den Blaufränkischen aus der Pfalz.
Dass Pückler's Rezept für die Artischocke nicht der Brüller ist - davon durften sich diesmal andere überzeugen.
