Parking wasn’t as easy as I had thought it would be. We were able to park on curb for free Sunday but were told we might get a ticket on Monday. We didn’t.

Very central for a city visit

Charming, small hotel in a renovated old building directly behind the Rhine promenade. The 35 rooms are spread over four floors (elevator available). Lovingly decorated breakfast room, cozy little bar. Reception and bar are only open until 21:00. Wi-Fi is free and works well.
The hotel is very quiet in a side street directly behind the Rheinuferstrasse. The boat docks are 200-500 m away, the old town is about 1.2 km away and the musical theatre and the cathedral can be reached in 5-10 minutes on foot. The exhibition grounds are located across the Rhine Bridge directly on the other side of the river.
Our double room consisted of a bedroom and living room, so there was ample space. Simple furniture, small bathroom with toilet and stepless shower. Sparse bathroom accessories and also otherwise except for a safe and a small flat screen TV in the bedroom little equipment.
Breakfast is quite neat, partly as a buffet, partly served by nice staff with a personal touch.
However, we paid over 200 €/night, which despite all the charm cannot be described as good value for money.

Good location

The hotel has very good location, the beds and pillows are comfortable and the room has new furniture, is spacious but has the sink outside the bathroom and the bathroom is tiny, toilet and shower tray, to the point that when you bathe in the shower tray, it is almost an odyssey to close the screen. It is not comfortable or practical. Cleaning service is good. The dining room is small, but I understand adapted to the number of rooms the hotel has. Breakfast is not bad, cereals, milk, sausage fruit, packaged pastries, yogurt, has just enough to have a good breakfast, although it does not allow you to bring anything for the room. Of course, and I want to emphasize, the most we liked, was the treatment of Carmen, the lady who served us in the dining room at breakfast time, loving, friendly, cordial, a charm. The reception is not 24h and although it is scheduled to be open until 21h, it is better to confirm it because you may need it at a certain time, as was my case, and not be operational.
The bathroom, very small and uncomfortable. The elevator is also very small. The area around the hotel is very expensive to park. 1€=15mins and the time slot from 09.00 to 23h. At the reception, when we arrived, we were given the option of a parking for the area of 20€ a day, we did not use it.
