Excellent stay in Berlin

A very clean, stylish, and beautiful hotel in a great, convenient location. Fully self-service, which makes it super easy to access your room anytime without relying on reception. Excellent value for money — highly recommended!

Worst service. Worst experience.

If I could put 0 stars I would.
This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
NUMA completely abandoned us as customers. Their entire check-in system depends on receiving an access code via WhatsApp or email—but neither my company, which made the booking, nor I ever received anything.
There is no reception, no staff on site, and absolutely nobody available to help when their automated system fails.
My colleague and I arrived at around 7:50 p.m. with valid reservations and had no idea how to access the building. After searching around, we eventually found a poster with a phone number and WhatsApp contact.
The phone line kept us on hold indefinitely. WhatsApp connected us to a chatbot that promised a human would respond within 15–20 minutes. That never happened. Nobody answered the phone. Nobody replied to our emails. Nobody solved the problem.
By 9:00 p.m., two women were effectively stranded in Berlin with nowhere to stay because NUMA had failed to send the access code required to enter the hotel.
At around 9:30 p.m., my colleague finally received a generic WhatsApp message saying she would be connected to someone. Nothing happened. At 10:00 p.m., I received the exact same automated response apologizing for delays because they had "too many requests." Again, no solution, no access code, no human assistance.
After more than two hours of waiting outside with no help whatsoever, we had no choice but to book another hotel. We simply could not keep waiting for a company that had shown no ability or willingness to resolve the issue.
To make matters even worse, the access codes never arrived—not that night, not after we had already found alternative accommodation. Instead, around midnight, I received a customer satisfaction survey asking how my experience was going. It was almost insulting. We had never even managed to enter the hotel.
This level of customer service is beyond unacceptable. A hotel that operates without a reception has an even greater responsibility to provide reliable remote support. NUMA failed completely. When their automated system broke down, there was no backup, no accountability, and no one willing or able to help paying guests.
We were left stranded in a foreign city despite having a confirmed booking. I have genuinely never experienced customer service this appalling.
Avoid NUMA at all costs. If anything goes wrong with your booking or check-in, don't expect anyone to help you. This company simply cannot be relied upon.

The accommodation was great, on the most part, with a few little issues. Communication from Numa was great and their live chat was quick and effective. Room was well provisioned and access to other things like extra tea/coffee/towels was super easy. Was weird there being no staff present on-site though but caused no issue. I would say it could do with a vending machine and an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
The main issue was with the room. The sofa had been through the wars - plenty of suspect stains and wasn’t in its prime. Remotes were battered and required us to juggle usable batteries during our stay. A very minor issue with the tv being framed-in meant we couldn’t connect any USBs which was a shame. Balcony and roof area needs some TLC.

Not recommended

The hotel is actually a boarding house. The option, booking with breakfast, is killefitz, meaning it will put a package at your room door. The hotel is easily accessible via the Sbahn Anhalter Bahnhof. Hotel and room can only be entered with a numerical code. Luggage compartments available but not reservable, so you can not rely on luggage storage on site. In our room the bed linen had a large stain (about 5 cm diameter) and the balcony was dirty with food residue (rice, bread scraps). We will definitely not book this accommodation again.

Don't be fooled its a letdown

We payed £110 per night for a room that has no resemblance to what we thought we had booked.The bathroom door has no lock.The shower has no pressure or heat.Frankly its a joke and I regret not checking reviews for this place.Its not worth the money.
