Fantastic Location

I spent 3 nights here whilst visiting the historical sites of the area. It is fantastically located within walking distance of the river and the Mission historic site as well as being a near drive to a number of other sites. It is well sign posted from the main track. My room was huge with a fantastic view over the river, big bathroom and tea, coffee and milk. Breakfast was substantial as was dinner and the food was lovely. The staff were exemplary, so friendly and helpful and it made one cheerful just to be around them. I’d definitely stay here again.

Rorke’s Drift Hotel, recently refurbished and rebranded as Rorke’s Drift Bed & Breakfast is an absolute delight. Stunning food and service from the staff, views that can’t be beaten in the battlefields area and exceptionally comfortable rooms.

Absolutely the best. We were there for 12 days. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful with the best sunsets. Rooms are big and clean. I highly recommend and would definitely come back any day.

Price way too high -

Hi nice eating area and ba . Friendly host but rooms need major uplift. Food average.
About two star rating. Road approaching venue bad state of repair. No shampoo or soap etc. tv doesn’t work and Wi-Fi non existent. Price way over the top for the venue
Pool dirty and pool surrounds a building site full of rubble ,
Missing laundry and dogs sitting on the furniture.

Wonderful and entertaining hosts

Went to the Rorke's Drift for lunch with Pat and his lovely wife Cheryl after a Battlefields Tour. Ross and Sean absolutely fabulous and entertaining and such welcoming hosts including the dogs that greeted us and we could have happily stayed longer in their company. The lunch provided was delicious and inexpensive and plentiful .The hotel has lovely views and the dining /lounge area vast.
