Scenic Getaway and Delicious Dining

I could not recommend Blue Rock highly enough! My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and were able to experience the Restaurant, Pub, and Sunday Brunch during our stay and all three completely exceeded expectations! All of the food was beyond delicious, and the presentation at the five course restaurant was so beautiful! In addition, the scenery here was incredible, quiet and peaceful, and the manager (Ebony), all the staff, and Chefs Aaron and Diego were some of the friendliest and thoughtful people we have ever met! Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone traveling in the area or looking for a quiet and luxurious getaway.

Special stay

We had a lovely midweek stay at Blue Rock recently. Staff were warm and welcoming, the room was well decorated and comfortable, the grounds were so pretty, set amidst the hills. We also really enjoyed the tasting menu -- beautifully plated and delicious, with the chef coming out to describe many of the courses. We felt very special.

Historic Inn

We stayed one night at the Blue Rock and loved the Inn. The staff could not have been more welcoming. The grounds were beautiful, and it was a pleasure to sit outside overlooking the pond and vineyard against the backdrop of the rolling VA hills.

Beautiful Inn near Shenandoah National Park

Beautiful Inn in a picturesque setting near Shenandoah National Park. Wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, and a delicious fresh breakfast daily. One staff member, Ebony, was particularly friendly and attentive. My wife and I highly recommend Blue Rock.

Amazing Anniversary Weekend

My wife and I have been staying at and eating at Blue Rock for our anniversary weekend for the past several years. It is one of our favorite places on earth. The scenery is gorgeous and relaxing. The food is fantastic, to say the least, and we’ve had only the most hospitable service. Plus, the drinks are inventive and pair well with the warm firepit they will light for you upon request. Also, the rooms are so cozy.
This is not to mention the location. Blue Rock is an easy drive from Shenandoah and wonderful hiking. It is also near Sperryville, Washington, and all of the other restaurants, breweries, wineries, and art the small towns pack in.
Admittedly, my wife and I were worried when we found out there was new management, but change is for the better. Chefs Aaron and Ebony (who also run the place) take care of their guests as lovingly as they prepare their Michelin-quality food. They went way above and beyond to make sure we had a fun, unique, interesting (and safe) anniversary weekend. Somehow they work so hard and still smile and are happy to light a fire for a guest at 11:30pm!
We cannot wait to go back.
