Peacock poultry
Me and my husband had a job in the area we looked up and found this Motel we stayed in a king size room everything was great the bed slept good it was very quiet had a nice surroundings the room smell great we enjoyed ourselves so much I just booked a couple more days for next week we will definitely use this Motel every time we're in the area don't believe all the other reviews cuz I can tell you I travel a lot the price was great and 24 hour open front desk thanks Debbie peacock

O.K.
Needed a place to stay at the last minute and this hotel was close to where I needed to be. The room rate was affordable, and they had a HWY 55 Burger place next door, which is always plus.
If I was coming back to Lugoff SC, I would probably try them again.

Overnight stay on holiday trip to visit family.
This is a decent room at a decent price and we can not find a single thing wrong with it. The room is clean in all regards, carpet, sheets, towels and also smells clean which a no smoking room should. The wifi, TV and refrigerator all work fine (we did not test the microwave ) The bed is firm which my back appreciates.

not keeping up with the time
Room's are not up-dated. management not spending money to bettger the motel. The pool was not monitor to non guest out so guest can enjoy the pool. the TV not avi compatible and light fixtures were brook. No electric outlets to help power cell phones and other devices.

Very disappointed
We have stayed here several years with no problems. Yes, it's an older hotel but the staff was always accomodating and friendly. I was severely disappointed this time. The rate of $59.99 was good for a king, but the bed couldn't have been one because we couldn't even turn over without bumping each other, plus the bed was so hard we both had backaches. Our first room key didn't work, but they did fix that. Breakfast that starts at 6:00 wasn't ready until 6:30, and there was no one in site at 6:00 that morning to even ask, I even had to unlock one door for a guest. I had to wait a while for someone to check us in since they were chasing kittens that had been dropped off by someone. In the room, one bedside light had no bulb while the shower fixture is too big plus it had a dirty, rusty stain in it. There was no local TV channel that I could find to see the weather since we were doing a demo at Sparkleberry Fair. The lobby smelled like urine on Saturday morning. The worst part was when we came back on Saturday evening there had been no housekeeping at all. The bed was unmade, trash (Capt. D's fish) was still in there, no extra toilet paper or kleenex, no clean towels, and soap pieces still on the carpet where we had opened the soap and it fell apart, no extra shampoo since we had showered the night before...the front desk lady got us towels, then the coffee pods (I forgot to ask for cups), and finally toilet paper. Had housekeeping done their job, this could have all been avoided. I was told that they had knocked on our door and we didn't answer so they didn't do the room. We left at 7:00 a.m. for the day, and the front desk lady knew it since I had had to ask for ice since I never found an ice machine, and also waited for her to set out breakfast which we had to abandon due to time constraints since it was late. I requested a discount since we had no breakfast or housekeeping the entire time and management did take off $10/night, which I will check on my credit statement to make sure. I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel to anyone....it has gone to pot. They need some improvements to staffing and service along with a huge cleaning and upgrades. Thank goodness we will now have a daughter living in SC where we can stay next year, because I won't stay here.
