Loved our stay here!

We had a great stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Southampton. Huge thanks to EMA at check-in for the warm welcome and the delicious warm cookies when we arrived.. Our room was super spacious, really clean, and comfy. Breakfast the next morning was also amazing with tons of fresh options. Everything from the food to the service was top-notch, and we highly recommend it! :)

Beautiful property located in Chilwack, just outside the main Southampton area.
The property is well maintained with well appointed rooms and amenities. Our rooms were spacious and bright, even with being located on the 1st floor. We had opted for the breakfast included rate, and thankful we were for the choice. Lovely tea, coffee, fruit, pastries, cereal as well as hot items.
The hotel itself is a little outside the city centre, so a taxi is highly recommended for about 15 quid.
We headed back into the city centre last night for a couple for a couple of drinks and food at the Scholars Arms. Again, great experience. Remember, you have to order at the bar as there is no table service.
One single complaint about the hotel, if I may, our bed was not comfortable at all. It was like sleeping on the box spring only, as the mattress was either not existent or needed to be replaced.
Otherwise, lovely!!

Member of staff called Zowie on the front desk is brilliant a total credit to the hotel, he is the nicest person you could meet whilst checking you in.

Customer service was terrible when there was a problem in the hotel and never got back to us or gave us a refund with the service charge that was on our bill when the service was bad

The bar team was very friendly and accommodating towards children which gave the hotel a more family feel. Warm bottled water at check in with no fridge amenities wasn’t exactly up to Hilton’s regular standards and very basic coffee sachets in room off brand catering coffee which tasted as you would expect and no biscuits which caused great disappointment to our mini traveller but all in all minor let downs overall experience was good though and would return.
