Another wonderful stay at Clyde House.

We have just come back from a weekend in Leyburn, our stay at Clyde House was fantastic. Great breakfast with fresh local produce, super clean rooms, right in the centre of Leyburn. The hosts Sean & Heather made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped through the front door. The rooms are cozy with tea and coffee provided and home made cookies to have with your cuppa. Breakfast is absolutely superb, cooked by Heather, stewed fruit, homemade preserves and granola, produce is from the local area and very high quality, fantastic to start the day. Sean is on hand to recommend days out and events in the local area. We really can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend Clyde House when visiting Leyburn and the surrounding area.

Wonderful stay

Another wonderful stay at Clyde House 14 years on from our first stay.
Heather and Sean are amazing welcoming hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. The property is spotless, homely and comfortable. We stayed in the Middleham room with it's glorious views out over Wensleydale.
The fresh milk in a flask and homemade biscuits are a lovely touch.
Probably one of the best breakfasts we have had including Heather's marvellous homemade preserves and poached fruits.
Fantastic base to explore the local area and we had some fantastic walks and great meals out thanks to Sean's recommendations
Cannot recommend Clyde House highly enough, we will be back!

Probably the best decision you will make by staying here.

The hosts, Sean and Heather are warm and lovely people, nothing was too much trouble for them. We felt like family.
The room was at the front and although there was traffic it was not noticeable. The room, like the rest of the house was spotless. The breakfast was fantastic and although we stayed for four nights we could have happily stayed longer. We would unreservably recommend and will definitely be back.

A lovely 2 night stay to see family nearby, a very warm welcome from Sean and Heather, the most delicious breakfast with amazing choices. Very comfortable room and bed, every detail thought out to make a memorable stay. Many thanks Sean and Heather.

The warmest of welcomes!

This accommodation was recommended to us by a local restaurant, and we booked it in the basis that so many 5 star reviews has to be a good thing. There is a reason for them and that is that the hosts; Sean and Heather truly have thought of everything you need for a welcoming and comfortable stay. They have many years of experience in hospitality between them and it shows in the detail and in the way they treat their guests. In fact, although fully booked themselves, they were able to help sort accommodation elsewhere for a couple who desperately turned up out of the blue having been let down by a booking at another establishment in Leyburn. Above and beyond to make the right impression on future guests because they care………
Our room was spotlessly clean and there was a good choice of tea/coffee/ herbal teas; along with delicious homemade biscuits and fresh milk. In the small en-suite shower room there were toiletries, vanity kit, cotton wool, shower cap etc and a hairdryer and bath robe if you need them.
There is a cosy lounge room for guests to use and a lovely garden patio area outside with what would be magnificent views over the countryside in better weather than we had this weekend!
The breakfasts are amazing using good quality, locally sourced produce. A great choice from full English to smoked cod and poached egg, smoked salmon with scrambled egg, grilled kipper, There are homemade compotes and granola with yogurt, cereals, toast and jam/marmalade and orange juice as well as tea and coffee so it really sets you up for the day. All provided with friendly and efficient service by Sean, and cooked to perfection by Heather,
Clyde House is very well placed for trips out in North Yorkshire; with so many visitor attractions and walks nearby; so you certainly won’t be short of things to do and see during your stay. We would recommend a meal at the Sandpiper Inn just across the road. Parking is easy in the nearby market square and by donation.
I would highly recommend Clyde House and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if in the area. Thank you both for a lovely weekend.
